Gjallarhorn is just another normal exotic
... Soooo why do you guys treat it like it's a god? There are other exotics good in other area *cough cough* [i]thorn, tlw, super good advice, ice breaker, etc[/i] *cough cough* but really I think it gets over hyped.
I don't have a ghorn no need to check grimoire

It's all a matter of context. As a boss killer it's not over hyped, general use or anything else it is.

You don't need to feel inadequate, it's a powerful situational weapon, once you have one you'll enjoy it... Obviously you are still enjoying the game without it.

1 ReplyYou can kill Archon during Nightfall in 10 seconds with two people using Gjallarhorn. You can do it in even less with three and Weapons of Light. It's not overhyped, it's actually just that good.

3 RepliesI half agree with you. I have one, and it's really neat. With two today, we finished the weekly heroic ultra quick. Killed omnigul in about 45 sec. That being said...I didn't use it at all for the rest of the strike. I only use it maybe 5 to 10% of the time. Its good, but I find other exotics more useful more often.

You're comparing it to exotics that aren't even in its weapon class. Ghorn is hands down the best launcher available.

Trust me, it's not just another exotic. It puts out the most damage to one target than any other. One Ghorn is roughly the equivalent to 2 or more of any other rockets.

Only thing that sets gally above the rest is wolve pack rounds. Honest is a great but there us no need to put it on a pedastool. And yes I have one. Use what is best for each situation. Don't just care it on ur back because u have it

Bro it does extra damage on top of its normal amount, ive seen this thread so many times, and yes it is as good as they say its not normal. It probably does ×1.5 the amount of damage as normal rocket thats just how it is.

It has the highest single target damage in the game. Any strike boss will die after a full inventory of Gjally's on solar burn. All together it does the damage of two rockets with each hit. Just no other launcher can compete with it's damage output.

Wait until you get and max it out. The initial rock wipes out a group of enemies. Then the wolfpack rounds take out any nearby enemies outside the blast radius. And it can do the damage of two rockets against Ultras.

Got mine a week and a half ago. It's an absolutely amazing weapon for damage but... yeah its way over-hyped. Kinda wish people would get over it. Not to mention it's not something that you get to use all the time. I get more excited about weapons that I can frequently use like the Mythoclast, fatebringer, black hammer, etc.
