Is Destiny Luciferian?
With all the names of the characters and the guns, the symbols and sigils that we wear on our characters and light that comes from the one who came down from heaven being the focus of the game it seems that this is a game that has a hidden motive beyond making money? Who was Eris? What's with everything being named the trials of Osiris? The eyeballs and triangles everywhere? I have seen the light...and I turned it off.

1 ReplyYou may be right...but based on my own perceptions of the game I'm going to say that Bungie picked those names/symbols for one of two reasons: - They were too lazy to come up with original terms so they grabbed an encyclopedia and looked up different groups to "borrow" from. - They purposefully picked those to try and add a sense of mystery or intrigue for those that looked at the names beyond just as titles and recognized that they have other meaning besides in-game. Their lack of mystery or depth in their own damn story telling gives me this idea. That being said...religions, governments, [insert other organized group here], insert themselves in odd places for odd reasons throughout history so you could be right.

Well in all media we have canonization from religon, pop culture, media and so on. Thats how you build behavior rapport trough media. For example hive swarm like bees and crota is a type of bee. People dont think outside the box so everything you look for you will find similarities to.

3 RepliesThe giant ball in the sky is actually evil, think about it, it appeared and brought in the golden age, and then the darkness crept up from everywhere and now the only place without the grasp of the darkness is in the last city. It brought the golden age and guardians in order to bring the darkness to conpletion, all the missions the speaker sends are to fully awaken the traveler and give it's strength again to be able to have full power of the darkness, the vex? They're a collective mind from past present and future created by someone to bring a stop to the traveler across time. The fallen? groups of an alien race that took advantage of the chaos and adapted to the darkness, and the hive? The ancient evil born from the darkness which the traveler is attempting to control. And then there's the cabal, they're just a military race in the pursuit of galactic conquest.
