With all the names of the characters and the guns, the symbols and sigils that we wear on our characters and light that comes from the one who came down from heaven being the focus of the game it seems that this is a game that has a hidden motive beyond making money? Who was Eris? What's with everything being named the trials of Osiris? The eyeballs and triangles everywhere? I have seen the light...and I turned it off.

Yes, Hail Lucifer!

Its a harmless game. Not meant to sway religion, political, or social beliefs among others. Its just meant to be fun. Don't over think things. And I'm sure, like many before it, some stories in the game are similar to those of many religions. With all the different religions and all those different holy books and texts, its hard to be super original anymore. Again, don't over think things.

1 ReplyA light bearer? Well we are guardians we do fight for the light...
-
I'm pretty sure the human race is the true evil and the aliens have it right in trying to kill us. The traveller knew we are like cockroaches. We just don't die.
-
I can see where your coming from but its just a game. I'm sure they knew of the symbols they were putting in when the game wads in development

The all watching eye is upon us

I admire your discipline. God bless you.

16 RepliesExcept that more than half of the world doesn't have, know, or care about "Luciferian" symbols. ie Hindus Religion is bullshit. But people like you throw away other, just as ridiculous bullshit like it was a dirty tampon. > Talking snakes? Of course! But a talking turtle? GTFO, you primitive sub-human! Who the shit believes in such nonsense as a talking turtle?

This is a confirmed bungie office memo that PROVES beyond a shadow of a doubt the OP is right!!!!! ----- 1. Create Luciferian game 3. Profit Minds blown, right?

42 Replieslol There are no gods and no devils. Are there still silly people out there who really believe this religious bullshit? (Sadly billions tell us they still do, better to get rid of them by education of scientific facts. Superstition is a real threat to all of us. Just look what radical chrixtians and muslims, hindus and budhists do to each other and esp. to unbelievers.)

Illuminati confirmed.

Haha the trials of osiris NPC looks like an illuminati worshipper. I mean cmon look at the hoodie...the candles...the eye...

11 RepliesNot Luciferian but rather Pagan. Osiris, Oryx, Ghallarhorn, all examples of famous, alternative religious icons
-
Well every possibility is 'possible' hah hence the possibility lol but in reality I think they're just references :) most games or any title that adopts the religious heritage is just to add more of a lore effect :) like how halo used a religious faction as a dominating factor in the human/covenant war. It adds this sence of 'meaning' to something :) I hope I didnt confuse you man!

Maybe bro

1 ReplyEdited by Spikedlemonade: 4/21/2015 6:19:05 AMA lot of things in Destiny are references to mythology, and other things. Here are examples I can think of of the top of my head:
Gjallarhorn- a horn used by a Nordic God to signal the coming of ragnarok. Aegis- shield or breast plate used by Zeus and Athena. Eris- God of discord Lakshmi - wife of the God Vishnu Ishtar- God of love, war, sex, and fertility. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
5 RepliesThe game was developed on planet Niberu buy an ancient Alien race called the Anunnaki.... All the Bungie developers are actually shape changing reptilians who are awaiting the arrival off the one eyed Messiah that will rule the world with pure evil..... As long as he keeps funding games like this I sold my soul to the devil! Aka Crota!

1 ReplyYou may be right...but based on my own perceptions of the game I'm going to say that Bungie picked those names/symbols for one of two reasons: - They were too lazy to come up with original terms so they grabbed an encyclopedia and looked up different groups to "borrow" from. - They purposefully picked those to try and add a sense of mystery or intrigue for those that looked at the names beyond just as titles and recognized that they have other meaning besides in-game. Their lack of mystery or depth in their own damn story telling gives me this idea. That being said...religions, governments, [insert other organized group here], insert themselves in odd places for odd reasons throughout history so you could be right.
