I kicked someone trying to use the heavy ammo glitch on Crota CP normal
Should I have given him the boot?
I think this is the first time I've kicked someone from any Destiny activity. He was literally the only one trying to do it. He even had heavy ammo synthesis, yet flat out refused to use one. With a team of nearly all 32s, and how we still somehow failed through the rest of the raid, I was very aggrivated that this player insisted on wasting our time. Thoughts?
Edit: I offered to have him sit in exclusion zone with me while I farm him the 950 glimmer required to purchase 1 heavy ammo synth. He kept firing his hand cannon...
Edit: just so we're on the same page, this was on a [b]normal run[/b]. On hard mode, I get it, having extra heavy ammo helps. On normal, it's a waste of time to try to heavy ammo glitch when literally everyone on the team has plenty of ammo synths in their inventory.

you get 1 heavy ammo glitch, to start it off. If you wipe on the first time you should have close to 7 rockets then enough for round 2. If you dont get it on the second time, pop a heavy for the 3rd. If you still cant beat crota after 3 times on normal. Go to orbit and try to iron out the glitches.

On lfg if your looking to join you should be ready, if not you got the app to transfer whatever you need even heavy synthesis.. Also can the person who runs the sword use a synth to fire a rocket to the swordbearer. Much appreciated

In my opinion if you're a 32, you should always have synth available.

11 RepliesI do the heavy glitch on normal, however I use Fatebringer and have no hancannon increase ammo equipped. 47 (or around that figure) rounds to get rid of. I start emptying my clip as we kiss the crystal, by the time the glass goes down I'm empty and firing icebreaker. If done correctly the heavy ammo glitch does not take time away from the raid and gives you heavy for the whole of the checkpoint.

Takes me 10 seconds (if that) with No Land Beyond. I do agree however its annoying to wait for people who love to use Auto Rifles with endless amounts of reserve ammo to do it.

On normal you should only need the ammo from a synth. If it was on hard then you had no right to boot him but on normal yeah

I just use no land beyond and it takes 30 seconds. If he was using anything other than a hand cannon I wouldve been somewhat upset

I don't mind it if we someone needs to take a break in the Crystal Room and has to use the bathroom. But it can be frustrating if people constantly do it. And if they do it constantly something is going wrong since you had to wipe.

If he refuses to use it then he's a stingy asshole. I get more upset when people are just selfish. But when doing the glitch correctly you can empty out within 30 seconds! Waiting those thirty seconds won't kill you.

I stopped doing the glitch after they patched the heavy ammo loss on deaths, plus now the acolytes and Knights in the room usually drop some heavy for me. I'll do It if every one is doing it, but if you're the only guy doing it I say just pop a synth.

I hate when ppl waste precious few seconds doing the heavy ammo glitch as well. It was all cool when you lost heavy from dying but that's clearly not the case anymore. It's almost agonizing when we have to wipe after nearly beating him and while ppl are on the Crystal you got one or two ppl blasting away with hand cannons for the first 30 seconds of each attempt. It really gets annoying when you're ready to immediately start up a match. I'd have done the same thing, xur has been selling plenty of synths lately and it's not too expensive to replace those you'd have to use in a raid with the gun smith. I don't fault you for kicking him at all.

Perhaps not a kick but a can you use a pack please warning. It's god damn annouying glitch that plp use and I wldnt wait for umm todo it just get on with it and if they manage todo it without making everyone wait then that's cool.

I would say even more so on normal because most normal groups i join are struggling to kill Crota and I need to take the reigns. Unlimited heavy ammo comes in handy
