I kicked someone trying to use the heavy ammo glitch on Crota CP normal
Should I have given him the boot?
I think this is the first time I've kicked someone from any Destiny activity. He was literally the only one trying to do it. He even had heavy ammo synthesis, yet flat out refused to use one. With a team of nearly all 32s, and how we still somehow failed through the rest of the raid, I was very aggrivated that this player insisted on wasting our time. Thoughts?
Edit: I offered to have him sit in exclusion zone with me while I farm him the 950 glimmer required to purchase 1 heavy ammo synth. He kept firing his hand cannon...
Edit: just so we're on the same page, this was on a [b]normal run[/b]. On hard mode, I get it, having extra heavy ammo helps. On normal, it's a waste of time to try to heavy ammo glitch when literally everyone on the team has plenty of ammo synths in their inventory.

I would say he didn't deserve it but the team decides and he wouldn't play nice. I do it everytime cuz free ammo. But I jump straight on the crystal and start firing. Usually I am empty before it starts o well if not as long as I get empty with a few ads left its worth it.

1 ReplyHe didn't play along with the team. I can see that as a reason to get kicked. if you pick up randoms who just do their own thing or just have weird personalities I could see getting rid of that.

6 RepliesI don't keep heavy ammo synth on me, I've never coveted it much. I can deal a helluva lot of damage with just my primary and secondary. As for Crota.. The glitch is there for a reason ( supposedly ). If you don't have synth, in some people's eyes, you shouldn't be raiding which is bullshit.

No question you should have booted him. Using that mechanic should be a democratic decision and if less than 4 people want to do it then the HAGer needs to suck it up and synth or find another group. Personally I never encounter this because I haven't raided with ransoms in probably 3-4 months, but yeah, I definitely would've kicked him!

In normal mode if everyone else has rockets, that one more rocket will make zero difference. You asked him to stop, he didn't, he deserved his boot.

I always do it. Takes me 5sec then I can hope on the crystal.

I can buy heavy synth faster than I can use it. There's no reason for anyone to do the glitch. Especially on normal where crota kneels with two gjallarhorn shots.

1 ReplyI'm not sure if it is a glitch or an exploit. If it is, then I would say yes as it is cheating, but if they are simply exploited a system that Bungie put in to make sure you don't run out of ammo, then not necessarily.

Normal is child's play now anyway. Why waste your synths on it? Save them for [b]hard[/b].

I was the sword bearer on a crota hm and was short on time. I said I could do one more run but no body can do the heavy ammo glitch. That run I was able to kill crota. I never use the glitch any more and hardly used it in the first place.

Was about to say no then read it was on normal. All you need is 3 rockets for that fight, no where near justifiable

People who use heavy glitch drive me absolutely nuts. Takes forever and xur is always selling heavy now it seems. It's not right for one cheap ass to hold the entire raid team back by doing the glitch. Oh and heavy ammo loss is now fixed!!! There is no reason to use glitch imo.

How long did it take him? Word of crota, I empty two clips and step on the plate, takes 10-15 secs. I do it because of the cool down. Ogres aren't going to wait , sword bearer don't give a, I save the synth for when I need it right f'n now. Ever been a sword bearer and say" take him down" to your mates and seen one fckn rocket. Not fun

90 RepliesThis glitch is not acceptable on any mode. Xur sells heavy constantly now so there's no excuse for not having any. This stupid glitch adds so much unneeded time especially when crota is being in one of his moods
