Thorn bounty waaaay too hard for this bad pvp player
Stuck at 99 out of 500 all day can't seem to make any progress. Have atheons epilogue void shotgun and maxed corrective measure...been at this bounty for two days...suggestions? Thoughts? Give up and abandon the bounty?
Edit: thanks to everyone who offered tips and instruction for my bad PVP skills thanks to some new friends I made this morning and to my new clan the Lucky Bullet Club for playing control with me and helping me get the 500!!!! Bring on Xyor!! Thanks everybody!!

I used praydeths revenge and sniped the entire time. I'm awful at pvp but I'm a solid sniper.

I used a void light beware during iron banner 3.0 or 4.0 and got it within 5 or 6 games.

2 RepliesDid it on my hunter with void shoty and low rate of fire, high impact, high stability heavy machine gun (can't remember which one sorry, was a while ago..), I had truth too but found that I could take out far more with the HMG with the limited amo, also u can't blow yourself up with it :D Method: play like one of the sneaky bastards u would normally HATE, don't play to win or for the team, play to stay alive and get cheep kills. Go full invisible BD, crouch go invisible HANG BACK don't charge in if u hav hmg amo snipe a couple and move to a different spot. Crouch next to doors shoot some poor jerk in the back like a total ass then move somewhere else on the map FAST, they will want revenge for your fu*kbagery... Hit and run is key, don't get pinned down in one place too long, remember the other side WILL want revenge. I used ulti for escape not killing. I played Control as I found this is easiest for predicting enemy movement but u may prefer a different mode so experiment . Quick word on obvious psychology, don't wear: Anything that draws attention to your HEAD. Red. Really bright glowing gear, especially helmets. Bright shaders. Do wear: Dark camouflage shaders/cloaks that break up your outline. I'm sure there are loads of other methods bit this worked well for me, so hope u find it useful :)

3 RepliesDon't give up! There will be a bunch of jerks telling you to "git gud ked" or whatever they say! It's hard, but it's worth it. I feel like Thorn because of how specific you have to play, teaches you how to be good (or not terrible) at the Crucible. I'm going to give you some of the advice I've seen posted in various Thorn Struggle Threads. 1. Learn the Maps - this takes time, but it's how you're going to get your kills. Don't worry until you start to understand how people play maps. 2. Play control - get folks when they start to cap a point. Best time to sneak a shotgun on them! 3. Stay with others. Let them lead. Assists count, so fire away and hope to nap an assist if you don't kill steal. 4. Play with your gun up. Don't look at the floor. No seriously! I find myself doing that all the time for some reason! I'm such an idiot! Don't be me! 5. Keep at it! You just have to accept some games you're going to get 150 void points, and others you're going to lose 30. It happens. If you give up, you'll never get the gun. Over time, you'll learn the maps, learn some strategies, and become better at the crucible. I keep meaning to continue my thorn bounty but then i got bad juju and invective bounties. So I'm getting the other two to the PVP. I'm thrilled I'll get to knock out all 3 PVP bounties at the same time! Well hopefully...

I got mine and my little brothers playing with void fusions before the nerf ( #NeverForget #FusionLivesMatter) it was pretty easy. but when it came time to help one of his friends out with this bounty we done it the fastest less stressful full of cheese way. 5 RepliesIs word of Crota Any good for this part of the bounty. I already have thorn, but working on my 2nd cos...... Why not? Im not that great at crucible either and didn't have a void primary. I now have Word of crota A green void fusion rifle and void Ldr 5001 And a void deviant gravity Hope I can finish it faster this time......

2 RepliesFind a group of people do play with. Playing alone, I suck at crucible...really bad. When I play with a group of people and we all have mics I'm consistently one of the top players. Its much more enjoyable which makes you play better since you're not miserably failing alone lol.

I just played control, and I went out of my way to cap points and then defend with void weapons. Then the other team is always coming to you. No need to hide in corners, fight them off B with your team. Assists counted to I believe. Tonight I'm doing the phogoth raid to get the special wizard out to kill.
