Stuck at 99 out of 500 all day can't seem to make any progress. Have atheons epilogue void shotgun and maxed corrective measure...been at this bounty for two days...suggestions? Thoughts? Give up and abandon the bounty?
Edit: thanks to everyone who offered tips and instruction for my bad PVP skills thanks to some new friends I made this morning and to my new clan the Lucky Bullet Club for playing control with me and helping me get the 500!!!! Bring on Xyor!! Thanks everybody!!

Control. Just stick to control.

1 ReplyRun with your team. Assists count for points, and AE is the king of assist guns...

Edited by Crispy: 3/24/2015 8:18:41 PMJust try to get a kill before you die That's just the best advice I can give you

4 RepliesDude, just keep trying it took me about 3 months to finish mine. Most of which were on that part. Trust me it is worth it
-
1 ReplyWord of Crota makes it a lot easier now
-
2 RepliesDon't worry! I bet you I am worse! The way I did it was just casually playing for a week with Atheon's epilogue. I got a 100 points a day. I camped, and if you feel bad, just remember you're here for the gun!!!

6 RepliesStop sucking at the game

2 RepliesEdited by Wolfisaurus: 3/24/2015 5:15:57 PMFirst things first. Don't use that Epilogue unless as a last resort. Think of your shotgun as your primary weapon. Your goal is to survive and get as many kills as possible until the heavy ammo drops. Use that Corrective Measure to decimate as many people as you can. I'd also recommend you go into Rumble, because everyone you encounter will be a target. Tighten your chinstrap and go -blam!- someone's shit up! Good Luck and Happy Hunting!

Don't give up, trust me. I'm a terrible Crucible player, look at my stats and Medal Score. But still, look at my primary weapon, Thorn, if I could, you have a great chance of having it too! Though I want The Last Word.
-
4 RepliesMy suggestion is to be a filthy, dirty camper. Let no one stand between a guardian and his thorn! Get yourself a VOID Shotty/Fusion and a VOID Heavy like Corrective Measure or Truth and, most importantly, keep away from the action, resist the urge to run around being the Titan Vanguard, leave that to the rest of the control team, you just clean up their messes :)
-
2 RepliesI struggled with the bounty also. My plan was to travel with a group and shotgun the crap out of everyone, but that didn't always work so I just played control and played hide and go seek with my shotgun.
-
1 ReplyJust use your shotgun as your primary. Also I would recommend playing control because it easy to get kills when that's not the main objective. Also if your a titan or warlock remember you don't have to use a subclass just because of its damage type.
-
CAMP CAMP CAMP CAMP CAMP CAMP CAMP CAMP CAMP CAMP Hang out at heavy drop, resist the urge to get into the fray, and conserve that heavy ammo (don't shoot ten when 5 will do) It's not the most admirable way to play, but it will get the job done. You could also Rumble boost, but then you'll be labeled as a tiny little schoolgirl with tiny little schoolgirl pants and clown shoes. If you wanna be a hairymanchest, run and gun it.
-
2 RepliesI'm far for being called "ok at Pvp" suggestions: 1. warlocks and Titans are the easiest because of their void perks ! 2. equip weapons that you are good with 3. get any kill that you can, anyway that you can 4. play CONTROL. don't worry about the zones, provide support 5. on that note stay with teammates (no solo) 6. play only the maps that you are familiar with 7. have fun... !

2 RepliesTook me 3 hours PvP was easy only because I had a void felwinters and jolders hammer (I got the bounty from IB when I handed in a bounty) so I just did rumble matches so much easy just everything
-
2 RepliesEdited by MR MUFFIN TOPPP: 3/24/2015 5:20:18 PMI see you have a hunter. You should run void shotgun and truth. I ran with red death as primary. I tried using jolders void but I had more success with truth because could be farther away. Also lock on targets was great. I would kill 2-3 with one rocket.
-
Play dirty. As long as you are getting 1/1 you will get there, slowly but surely. Just bum rush shotgunning on every match. It only took me about 10 matches.

1 ReplyDont let idiots acting like they're gods gift to the crucible team they're on get you down. The bounty is a pain if your not familiar with the pvp maps, but its definitely doable. Take your time, get assists (they count as kills), dont run and gun, stay with team and stay alive. The hardest part of the bounty is feeling overwhelmed by the amount of void kills needed, its not that bad trust me. I did it with a green void fusion rifle very quickly and i never play pvp, i barely even knew the maps. Anyway good luck, is definitely worth it. Oh and lastly, the harder part of the bounty is after you finish this part. I was a level 29 when i killed xyor and that level 26 strike was harder then any nightfall i had done. You will need a team for it

4 RepliesLook at my stats. I suck at PvP. It's possible. I mainly did it thanks to Truth and my Voidwalker. You will get it. Don't give up.
-
It took me forever. I ended up using a void sniper and truth. Took a little camping which I normally don't do, but I wanted to be done with it.
-
1 ReplyI camped near the heavy ammo drop on four maps with a Void sniper and The Truth Shores of Time (the one by Zone B) Anomaly (the one by Zone A) Blind Watch (the one by Zone A) Burning Shrine (the one by Zone A) All four allowed me to see guys coming from far away to either snipe them or launch a rocket at them. Took a few hours and I left any game not on these maps. But overall it didn't take very long to get done. You just have to accept that people are going to hate you for camping.
-
1 ReplyFirst thing, you need to play enough to know the maps. You have about 250 total PvP kills. You can't walk into PvP and expect to be on even ground with players who know the maps backwards and forwards. Your weapons are all Void, so you're good there. Now it's just a matter of learning where and when to use them on each map. And the last thing is don't be afraid to camp. Anything above a 0.4 k/d is getting you closer to your 500.
-
1 ReplyPlay control use a void shotgun work the corners. Camp like a MA -blam!-a don't worry about the flags
-
1 ReplyUse a good primary to protect your KDR. Void shotty and heavy.
-
2 RepliesBefore the last patch, I'd have said go with a void fusion. Now, not so sure. Shotguns are high risk though. Have you thought about sitting back and using a Praedyth's Revenge? I would stress to avoid relying on the Crapilogue. Use it only if you have to. Try and get the most use out of your special. Sadly you got the bounty on your hunter, so you can really use grenades or the likes to help with the bounty. If you aren't in a rush, hang out until you can get the Word of Crota from HMCE. It's a far better primary for the bounty(and in general) then the AE.
-
1 ReplyPlay rumble run felwinters lie and Athens epilogue and jolders hammer (all void damage) if you get atleast 24 kills and 10 deaths you will have that part of the bounty done within 6 games
