How many games did it take you to get the 500 points for the thorn bounty?
I assume not many people keep track of this stat but I figure if you averaged 10 void kills a game with no deaths it would take 10 games. I estimate the average player to have a k/d around 1:1 and that puts you in the 17 game range. Where do you stand?
Edit: I'm referring to the crucible portion. 1 kill = 5 points and 1 death = -2 points.
If you claim to have done this in 3 games then you must have gone 33 and 0 three times in a row. If you are that good we should all be able to see it in your stats.
Edit: It sounds like assists count for some people and they don't for others. If you comment a number of games it would be helpful if you comment whether assists counted or not.

I ree-hee-heely hope HoW has new damn bounties and they finally un-ass that sixth bounty. I have a Necrocasm. HAD three Allies. Those were the lamest single-serving adventure poops ever coded into this sad excuse for a nerf-a-thon. Buff what again? "Here, do this bounty. It will give you a weapon of BEYOND EXOTIC POWER...(339...hits like the Husk of the Pit it came from). Sorry to go on, but Thorn is the only challenging missive bounty that NOW, finally gives a weapon worth the ass pain to get it, and it's not even that hard. Just do it. It's worth it. You need help with the final part in the pits, look me up, I'll help.

I was averaging about 30-40 points a game till I got to 470 then I hit a death strike and basically stayed neutral for 3 games lol.

So, I feel like it counted my void damage assists, as it only took about 7 games.

1 ReplyI boostes in rumble. Not that hard. It's pretty BS Bungie makes you play crucible. Worst part of the game and gets all the dev attention. I only play it now because I have nothing else to do

I suck at pvp so it took like 20+ games to get it but it was so worth it

But I had no void primary and I had two shit games where I got like 2 kills. but I used void heavy machine gun and void fusion helped now is probably go void shotgun. But I also used void grenade and got credit for lots of assists too from damaging guys taking flags and then having a guy titan smash and kill them all. Occasionally I'd get a kill but it was so successful that EVERY flag getting taken I ran to and hurled a void grenade at. Plus even if you died and got one kill I think it's a net positive.

I never had trouble with the two times I have done the bounty. Maybe like 6 or 7 for each. If you're interested my setup was: Atheon's Epilogue (did before hard crota dropped) Void LDR Corrective Measure Voidwalker

My tip for you all; -play objective based game modes people focus on the flag etc more than kills - camp said objective like a noob - use void shotty or fusion rifle - use word of Crota if you have it - use truth or corrective measure The rest is up to you. Poor tips I know.

Started in November, finished 2 days ago. How many games?....forever. That's with my warlock, my Titan gave up in December. My hunter now has one as well.

I did it during IB 2.0 with Atheon's Epilogue, a Fusion, and the SWARM.

Wow it took me 6-7 games I went ham with void walker and a random blue fusion rifle

If I do recall it took me 11 games. Thorn is what got me into the crucible and actually helped me improve my game. Although I still pretty much suck :)

2 RepliesIt took me six hours the first time so roughly ~40 games. The second time it took me 5 games. It just depends on whether or not you have good void weapons
