Why don't people raid?
If you're not raiding, explain why not and what are you doing in Destiny. There's not much to do in the game including raids as it is. I'm just curious.
Edit: Seems most don't have a group or found people patient enough to help them through the raids. It's good to see people lending a hand. I just took someone new from this thread through crota last night. He got some good drops and is looking forward to raid some more of. We are gonna do vog as well. I ran VoG multiple times every week before The Dark Below came out because I had a group of friends to run it with. Once the expansion made all our time in the VoG become worthless every single one of those friends stopped playing. Nobody wanted to grind the same few strikes to gear up for the new raid since we had already done those strikes countless times to gear up for the VoG. Since I'm the only one still playing, I have to go on these forums or a site like DestinyLFG to find a group. More often than not, I waste hours trying to find a group or hoping that the group I've found can get it right on the next attempt. It's just not worth the trouble.

4 RepliesFew reasons. The first is how much time it takes to find a decent raid group. Then there's the time it takes if said raid group is not serious and f-ing off, and finally, I've been in quite a few raids that start well and then people get bored after a few wipes and start leaving. It really isn't that difficult but most will take you through it (if you're inexperienced) just to get the chests... I want to learn it all!

I would love to raid more; but not for the rewards, just for fun. For example if somebody wants to join me today on VoG hard, 6 hours from now, and try some stuff, like after initial plates to go for the dead ghost in campus 9, killing the gatekeeper, coming back, go through secret passage under first chest, looking for new stuff, take our time in gorgons maze, after killing last boss looking around , etc....I mean to explore a little bit looking for uncovered secrets of VoG... I don't have VexMt and would be nice for somebody to have it ( it might be needed ); I have Pocket Infinity ( the key ) though...:) - I ment to create a interest group who want to try to discover the secrets of vault. And not only -... Crota, NF, weekly, even daily and Cruxs. :) welcome. PS4 : cberar2

Why don't people raid? Cuz the raids are boring as all hell. Done enough of them on all 3 32s. Bungie needs to bring out a raid that is fun, lengthy, nearly impossible to complete, and did I mention lengthy? I remember raiding 40 man bwl for the first time back in the day and being like OMFG this is the first room??? Or explosive content in the old republic. Effin drouks

I want to be able to just turn my playstation on and play. I don't want to faff about finding a group. I've yet to try what I do with nightfalls and just put a post up saying "I'm starting it now" (when I do it with nightfall I usually get a couple of people join within 1 minute). I might try it later this week. If I get a group of people joining me within a couple of minutes of posting on the forums then all is good. Otherwise I'll wait until they (Bungie) introduce some form of matchmaking.

I have all the weapons except for two.Why would I need Hunger of Crota anyway?Just to make it so I can use something other than Gjallarhorn to shoot Crota?You only really play the raid so you can get gear that makes it easier next time.No real point in that,especially since Crota's End isn't particularly enjoyable anyway.

Would love to to VoG more, but really only play with my fire team so hooking up with 3 other randoms just doesn't work for me.

2 RepliesNo time. If I could get into a raid crew with good people, I'd run it all the time. I've run it successfully once and spent hours dying at Atheon. That's time I could be doing Roc Strikes.

I came across a post in LFG looking for "experienced" player and usually don't join games like that cuz I thought they were elitist assholes. Turns out none of them ever beat crota and that's why they were looking for an experienced player. Showed them left and middle strat on crota and we beat it after 45 minutes. They were stoked and it was great seeing all those cryptographic shaders pop in the left

Have completed close to 120 raids and have soloed CE 18 times, have all raid gear and weaps except Praetorian foil for some reason... It's iron banner week. Time to own kids lol.

I don't raid much any more because there's not much the raid could give me. Warlock and Hunter helms would be nice, but not essential. I'm missing the Word and the Crux, but again, not that worried. They made the Vault too hard and luck based on getting everything. They made Crota too easy to get everything, barring some absurdly bad rng. I'm gonna be playing a bit more actively this week because I want the IB chest piece. It looks far superior to the warlock raid piece.

I usually only play in 20-40 minute increments, so I love the predictable action of Crucible. Matches never run long, unlike even ROC strikes I've been sucked into where the last boss just doesn't seem to die. Besides, the PVP was what I fell in love with during the beta anyway. Just which the chance for exotics was higher...

i didn't raid till This month because the 3 times I tried to with randoms, none of them had the patience to teach me. Thankfully my highschool friend bought a one and he found a group. Now I love raiding! still cant get a damn chest piece to get lvl 32. its been 8 normal raids rngesus common!
