In this image: (ok well, it stopped working, but it was just the arcade hallucination thing...dammit imgur...)

I have to say, this game actually got me. Like, badly. There are these hallucinations that just randomly appear, staring at them for prolonged times (like 2-3 seconds) will automatically result in that hallucination screwing your shit up. i actually fell out of my chair once...The furthest ive made it so far is night 6...I think I have a solid strategy so far...
im not going to spoil it if you want to play for yourself. theres a shit ton of secrets still hidden...and some genuinely interesting story parts revealed.....alternatively im sure theres gonna be a demo soon so you could try that but you might have to wait a bit.
Feel free to discuss the game, theorize about what the various minigames mean, or why the new phone guy sounds like a stoner...
also ive found a new hallucination on the desk: http://i.imgur.com/eV4M4Kg.jpg i dont think that cupcake was there before...
Possible Spoilers Ahead.
What are the names of these...things?
SpringTrap
Phantom BB
Phantom Chica
Phantom Freddy
Phantom Foxy
Phantom Puppet
What are those mini games? (I have a better theory as a reply in this thread)
Minigames, upon completing the nights reveal the 4 animatronics being lured to a location that "isn't programmed into their digital map" (a safety room). Upon arriving at the entrance to the room purple guy appears and dismantles them. Upon completion of night 5, you play as a dead child sprite who traps purple guy in the safety room. He panics, and flees into the SpringTrap suit. However, it is revealed that these suits were the cause of two "incidents" and were no longer in use. Employees were advised to not wear them or they risk death. As the spring locks would unlatch and crush them with animatronic parts.
Purple guy is then killed by the suit and is left twitching in a pool of pixelated blood as the children vanish.
If these are the only Minigames the player plays, you receive the bad ending. A shot of all animatronics, their heads now lamps. You now have nightmare mode unlocked. Have a nice 6th night.
What exactly ARE those shadow animatronics?
The shadow animatronics can be seen as hallucinations in five nights 2. In the parts room an image of Freddy, glowing eyes and teeth is seen lying against the wall in the same position as golden Freddy. Upon brightening the image, he is a dark purple.
Remember that colour.
Shadow Bonnie appears in the office and looks like toy bonnie...minus the buck teeth. People theorized this was SpringTrap. Well they were kinda right.
Minigames STAGE001 and the phone calls reveal that SpringTrap (referred to as "Spring Bonnie) and golden Freddy were the original 2 robots and they were discontinued because of spring lock failures. These suits were stored in a safe room, a place that only employees can access and where animatronics can't go because it isn't on their digital map. (REMEMBER THAT)
Phone guy states that employees will be required to wear temporary replacement costumes in the meantime. "But Wumbo, what does the colour purple have to do with this."
In the last minigame needed to unlock the good ending, you play as shadow Bonnie.
He's purple.
The replacement suits were the shadow animatronics, used to replace the now discontinued golden and spring animatronics. The rooms we lure the animatronics into is the safe room where SpringTrap is stored. They can't enter because all they see is a wall...
But when they are all dismantled...the only one who can enter is the only one who is SUPPOSED to be there.
The kid inside golden Freddy.
To recap= Shadow Freddy and Bonnie are the replacements for golden and spring bonnie. Golden can enter the safety room because he's a discontinued bot. He's supposed to be there. Scares purple guy. And his final resting place is inside a coffin of wires, metal, and springs...
The kids planned this: You're Playing Their Game Now
"Guess who? It's me. I am still here. I remain. I will come back. I always do. They have a place for me."
Now, purple guy is seen climbing into SpringTrap in the Minigames and dying while twitching...SpringTrap is also twitching and struggling in the trailer...
Now let's switch this around.
"Guess who? It's us. We are still here. We remain. He will come back, he always does, we have a place for him"
The kids planned this. They are the ones "speaking" in the trailers. Youre playing their game. Or is it just all In your mind?
How to avoid the Phantom Animatronics
The phantom animatronics are spawned via several in game hallucinations. If these hallucinations are triggered, the player will be attacked by the robots and some systems will need to be rebooted. This is very inconvenient especially on later nights, where springtrap is more active and a single reboot could mean instant death.
To avoid Phantom Freddy: Freddy will randomly appear walking in front of the glass. If you brighten the office at that point you can see he is actually staring inside. Your best action would be to keep the monitor up until you see him reach the end of the hall and he is no longer in front of the glass. thats how i avoided him at least. Failure to do so will result in him crouching under the glass and popping up at a random time.
Avoiding Phantom BB: If you see him on the monitors, switch cameras and dont look back at the camera you saw him in. Wait a few seconds ( he might despawn?) then lower the monitor. if hes not there youve avoided him. if you stare at him and lower the monitor he will be staring at the player for a second before attacking.
Avoiding Phantom Puppet: He will randomly appear in full view of the player on the cameras. if the player does not look away the puppet will appear in the players face and follow them similar to the night 4 "Dream" in the second game. This blocks the view of the window and the doorway, allowing springtrap enough time to enter and kill you.
Avoiding Phantom Foxy: He appears if you stay on camera too long...i think...either way if you turn and hes there, he lunges at your face.
Avoiding Phantom Mangle: This one appears in the foxy head room and will disable audio devices while making loud screeching noises. It is also visible outside the window, peeking at the player through the glass.
Avoiding Phantom Chica: The player will see the black and white image of her face on the arcade machine. They must switch cams and avoid looking back at that room. i think she might despawn after a while but i dont know. If the player does not switch cams, and lowers the monitor and looks left, she will attack the player.
YOU are the guard.
The guard does not get paid, the guard does not get fired, but he dies. in the attraction.
The place was one week away from opening up, the player is tasked with watching the cameras and making sure that nothing catches on fire. Note that phone dude breaks the fourth wall a few times too. stating that "Clicking the blue button brings up the cameras, and turning to the left allows you to flip up the maintenance panel". Not to mention "You've officially become part of the attraction. You'll be staring as...THE SECURITY GUARD".
But how does this prove that we are the guard, and that we died in the fire? Well in the first 2 games, we see the guard's death. Mike in the suit, and Jeremy in a POV perspective inside the suit. But when springtrap catches us, we only get GAMEOVER. Well think about it, when we die, all we see is black right? So GAMEOVER. we wont see what we look like. cause we're dead.
Now on night 5, lets assume that what happened was the guard let the ventilation break down, he passes out. During his unconscious state, he has a NIGHTMARE that he is still doing the job. night 6. Meanwhile the place has caught fire. The guard has died, the player has died. Therefore, he cannot receive a paycheck. However, the player themselves saved the kids. THEY(The previous guards)CANT. But YOU can.
In other words, the player took the job, the player frees the children, the player dies.
A recent update Added some new sounds, Springtrap has a voice...it's more like a distorted groaning sound. Kind of sounds like "Help Me" or something. You can also hear him moving around the facility now.

It's coming, the final chapter.
Look what someone found on youtube... 8-BitGaming featured the Guard theory in a video. now thats unexpected.
(lol at all the people in the comments wondering why theres an FNaF theory on bungie.net. The #Gaming forum section is for discussion of games other than destiny. )

7 RepliesI'm sure you have already figured this out wumbo, knowing you, but I feel the need to say it.
The kids burn the building down in the bad ending. They still posses the suits and when the heads are turned to lamps, which gives them access to fire. after nightmare night the building is burned down, the only possible way would be through the kids...
3 RepliesSpoiler:
Purple guy is spring trap he gets Le spooks from the ghost kiddies after night 5 and hides in the spring trap suit but the spring locks fail and he gets crushed to death. That's why spring trap might look like it has organs inside it.
One of my friends is running a series of it at the moment, I've not played them personally (not my sort of game) but his streams through the first two games have been so funny I had to watch the new one

I'm gonna make a post just to jot down everything I've thought up... So I'll brb

2 RepliesI've got to say, as much as I think the games themselves look boring, the lore and story is really interesting. I've been reading about it, but sadly there isn't much on the third game yet. I'll be looking forward to new info within the next couple of weeks (or however long it takes for people to find out stuff).

3 RepliesI haven't even finished 2 yet. I usually just watch Markiplier play them for the story.

26 RepliesJust a small update I'm pretty sure the series as a whole just came to a close. All that's left is piecing the story together. The website for scottgames.com now displays a single hat on the floor surrounded by two lights...nothing in the background...nothing hidden...just that... Make of that what you will.

1 ReplyEdited by Void: 3/3/2015 5:13:52 PMSo I has been on reddit and here's some vital info. WARNING! There are spoilers ahead. All quotes directly from reddit
After beating Night 1, you get the minigame where Freddy dies. In the west hallway, it says BBdbclick to the left and highlighted buttons to the right. Going into Night 2 then, I'm not sure if you have to double click BB's mask or not, I did anyways, but if you go into the top arcade room camera, you can click on the left arcade's buttons; they will light up. Clicking on them in the proper order from the previous Freddy minigame (upper left, lower left, upper right, lower right) will bring you to Mangle's Quest, a minigame where you play as Mangle and collect your body parts while avoiding a person (a guard? a rabid fanboy? I dunno). Tried doing this on Night 3 and it didn't work, but after Night 2 during Bonnie's death minigame, there are those four cupcakes in the same spot as the previous message. During Night 3, I found just that, cupcakes strewn throughout the building. One's in the lower arcade room, then found another in Foxy's room, then I died... Will post more! EDIT: The cupcakes are, if I remember correctly, hidden in cameras 2, 3, 4 and 6. Clicking on them all gets you Chica's Party, a minigame where you collect cupcakes and bring them to crying children. After Night 3, you get a Chica death minigame and the secret message is 395248 - haven't been able to discover what it means exactly.I discovered what 395248 is. During Night 4, to the right of the disposed animatronics' box in your office are nine panels that blink when you click them. They do not represent the numpad on your keyboard; they are arranged in sequential order. Like so: 123 456 789 If you click on them in the correct order (3 9 5 2 4 8), you will be brought to a minigame called STAGE01. You will play as Golden Freddy, on stage with what appears to be Springtrap (a golden bunny) with three kids cheering you on. If you run off the stage, it will pull you to the left and out of the room. You can run to the sides and jump around, and running offscreen will bring you to the same room shifted slightly. It'll look like the game has glitched, but if you continue to the right, you'll find the exit.I found another easter egg. In Camera 3, there's a poster on the wall of the Puppet. Double clicking on it brings you to a minigame called Happiest Day where you play as the Puppet and run by kids sitting at tables with birthday cakes, wearing masks of the animatronics. In the third room to the right there's an empty table with a crying, possibly dead, child. The room you start in has the exit to your left. Did this on Night 4, not sure if it works on other nights.Someone got some sort of bad ending with a death minigame. In this death minigame, the purple man goes inside of the Springtrap suit. The suit, standing up, shudders, while pixelated blood flies out, with the suit eventually assuming the shaking position from the trailer. Judging from this, I'd say the theory is... somewhat correct.Oh...my...god....wait....What if the golden suit the killer wore....was this one...the mechanism failed like you said...the killer/purple guy is now trapped inside of springtrap. Hence the decaying heart, brain...other human bits. Plus the "we have a place for him" him meaning the killer the place being inside of the suit...guys...guys I figured something out I think! As /u/zeroexev29 said, the secret message for the Foxy death minigame is Shadow Bonnie. This one is easy to find: on Night 5, there is an action figure of Toy Bonnie on your desk to the right in the shadows. Double clicking on him bring you to a minigame; it's the same one as the Golden Freddy one (STAGE01) except you're playing as Shadow Bonnie instead, with Golden Freddy and Springtrap(?) on stage with you. You can run around and jump, and even spam jump to levitate. Whenever you move, your body glitches around in pieces. If you press down, you can glitch into images that represent the other minigames, such as Chica in a room with a crying kid and a birthday cake or BB in his room full of balloons. One of the rooms you can glitch your way into is all messed up; you're trapped inside a room and outside in the corner is the dead, crying kid. The exit is in your starting room, which you can glitch back to, in the upper right corner. Gonna' go beat Night 5 now! :)Hey guys this might be a stretch, but remember at the end of fnaf2 when the phone guy is freaked and says that "someone used one of the suits". A yellow one. And on the second night of the 3rd game, the recorded message mentions that the suits have springs. WHAT IF someone (the killer? some random punk?) was messing around in the yellow suit (SPRINGTRAP) and then died because they didn't seal the springs correctly?[–]Mathwiz100 131 points 14 hours ago As revealed by Phone Guy on Night 2, the animatronics have a spring mechanism that allows the suits to be worn by a human. A theory I saw posted elsewhere is that Springtrap is a result of that mechanism failing...with someone inside permalink I'm with you. Phone guy supposedly died in FNaF1. One theory suggests he killed the children and somehow they haunted/possessed the original animatronics. I think they finally get their revenge by putting him in a suit that one night in FNaF1, the spring mechanism fails so he cannot get out. However, I may be completely off. There's quite a bit that needs more explanation.
I know it's all jumbled up but there you have it. Edit: will post more soon

Here is a very large summary of the game WARNING! Spoilers ahead! Straight from reddit.
This isn't mine but Masonster's from the FNAF wiki. Just thought I'd share it with you all, apparently he's gotten the true ending and posted a thorough guide on how he did. Minigame Night 1: From here on in, the hallway that reveals the clue to the location of the next minigame will be referred to as the "Clue Corridor". The Clue Corridor is located one room left and two rooms down of the starting stage area. On the first night, there will be two clues. There will be text that reads, "BB DBL CLICK", and on the opposite side their will be 4 highlighted buttons in a sequence. BB DBL CLICK refers to a poster of BB located in one of the camera feeds which, if double clicked, takes you to BB's minigame, and the clue on the right corresponds to a button combination that needs to be pressed on the arcade machine in one of the cameras in order to trigger Mangle's minigame. That is all you need to know from here, go get killed by the purple guy. Night 2: This is the ONLY NIGHT that the button combination on the arcade machine will work, so you need to be sure to perform the correct actions there on this night or you will have no chance of getting the correct ending and must start a new game. Proceed to BB's minigame where you will be instructed to gather all the balloons, at which point an exit will appear. However, when you collect all the balloons, there will still be 1 remaining in your counter. This is a hint. DO NOT step through the exit door and instead jump up to the top left corner of the room. It will be transparant and BB will exit the game space and fall through the world. After falling through two rooms of black space, you will be confronted by some horrifying pixel art and an exit on the left. Do not take this exit either, instead, progress left until you see a box with a multicolored balloon in it. Phase through the wall on the left side and acquire this balloon. THIS BALLOON WILL OPEN UP PREVIOUSLY RESTRICTED PATHS ON MOST OTHER MINIGAMES AND IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THIS BE ACCOMPLISHED BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE. Once BB's game is complete, enter the correct combination on the arcade machine (top left, bottom left, top right, bottom right) to access Mangle's minigame. Inside, you wil be prompted to collect all of the parts of Mangle while avoiding a patrolling generic fat kid. Avoid the fat kid and collect the pieces, but instead of going through the exit door at the far right, jump onto the platform right above the exit door and once again phase through the wall of the envorinment on the top right side. Mangle will fall through and be greeted with equally horrifying pixel art. Ignore this and proceed leftwards until you see a series of platformable balloons (TRIGGERED BY BALLOON BOY'S MINIGAME) and platform your way to the top. At the end will be a massive cake, which you will jump on to collect and the minigame will promptly end. Once completed, GO BACK TO BB'S MINIGAME and complete the puzzle as per usual. This time, as you phase through the wall and drop, their will be similar platform balloons to catch your fall. Follow them over a few screens to the first of the dead kids, walk over to him, and BB will place down the cake. The child will stop crying, open his eyes, and the child will be rescued, thus ending the minigame. OPTIONAL: At any point during rescuing the kids, there is an unmarked children's drawing of the Puppet hidden in one of the camera feeds (and hidden rather well. I do not remember the exact camera). If double clicked on, this will take you to a Puppet minigame showing the five kids who had died alive and well, and in the back, a crying child accompanied by WHOMEVER YOU HAVE RESCUED SO FAR. Minigame Night 2: Proceed to the clue corridor once again. Your hint will be four skulls. Night 3: The previously mentioned 4 skulls are scattered across the camera space. There is one skull respectively in Cameras 2, 3,4, and 6. Once you have clicked and recovered all of the skulls, it wil bring you to Chica's minigame. WARNING: THE SKULLS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE ON THIS NIGHT. Chica's minigame involves you getting some cupcakes to feed to children. Promptly ignore all of them and proceed one room right, and then fall down one room to the bottom corridor. There is a very small mapping error that only one with a keen eye can spot here. Hop onto the platform on the top-left most area in this room and then jump again leftwards to hop OVER THE MAP and once again fall out of game space. You will enter a room with a child on a high platform and some balloons leading up to him (ONCE AGAIN, TRIGGERED BY BB's MINIGAME). Present him with cake and the child will be rescued. Minigame Night 3: Clue corridor this time gives you a number combination. 395248. Night 4: These numbers correspond with a keypad combination that is only visible on this night on the wall tiles INSIDE THE CAMERA ROOM. The specific tiles begin with the tile that intersects the rightmost V of the axe guitar sitting in the box of refuse and ends with the tile partially intersecting the mesh waste bin. The tiles are ordered as such: 123 456 789 Once you interact with these tiles by clicking, they will glow, so you know you have the right ones. Enter the previously mentioned code into the tiles and you will bring up Freddy's minigame. This one is very difficult to describe, so I will do my best. You will start out in a box area labelled Stage 01. Before I go on, imagine that you are starting off in the '1' box of the tile/code area listed above. You start in '1', and your objective is to get to the missing child in block '3'. Freddy will hop off stage and phase through the stage leftwards until he falls out of game space. He will descend past '4' and land underneath the '7' block. Each block is almost precisely identical to the one before it. Walk right one room until you reach tile '8' (or 9, I forget which.) From here, you will be able to glitch your way up several tiles and across to reach your desired area. I do not remember the precise route, but it is not particularly difficult and you can retry if you fail. DO NOT EXIT THROUGH THE EXIT DOOR. Once you meet the child, present him with cake and move on. Minigame Night 4: Clue corridor this time presents you with Shadow Bonnie. Very eerie. Night 5: This is it. On your desk in the camera room, in the far right hand corner next to a few scraps of paper will be a SHadow Bonnie plushie concealed in the darkness. Double click on it to access Bonnie's ****ed up game. You will be a very glitchy and creepy Bonnie originally existing in Freddy's Minigame. As you hit the down or S button, it will toggle through all minigame worlds that existed before it, with the addition of one glitchy room with a child sitting outside of game space. Inorder to reach him, you must remember the glitch in BB's puzzle and PHASE THROUGH THE WALL in his world, and then toggle the world back to the one with the boy. Rescue with cake. The final step. Simply go back to the Puppet's minigame and regroup with all of the dead children. The last dead child will stop crying, don his mask, and they will all fade away, leaving only their masks.
