Are us pve'ers ever going to get another option to get #thorn
I absolutely despise pvp but want thorn......I can never get my point total above 30. is there ever going to be another option to get thorn?

I have a word of crota and a void felwinters lie and truth or corrective measure. Ill be done with that bounty in 45 minutes.

I guess no the bounty requires crucible so you can experience most of the game

You can do it pretty quick playing control. Just get a couple friends to join you so it's not so boring

Highly doubt it. The entire point of exotics is to push you outside of your comfort zone.

why the hell do u want Thorn if your a PvEr? It's absolute GARBAGE in PvE and performs well in PvP.

I hate pvp with a passion in all other games but used pistols early on so naturally wanted Thorn. The pvp part made me sad but by the end I was not all the bad and after succumbing and joining the last Iron Banner I have started to enjoy pvp. Not even trying to balance the supers etc is what I like most because they aren't ruining pve for it. Evwn started doing well recently. It just takes practise and to not be reckless with your life.

Edited by Lizard King: 3/1/2015 4:34:17 PMI am definitely a PVE player and i am no good on PVP however if you plan good act careful it is not that hard to complete Thorn bounty. don't go full attack mode , just get used to couple maps you prefer , make sure to go to orbit on other maps and play on the area you know. Pick some camping spots and use them wisely. You shall be done in 3-4 hour max.

Honesty just get void weapons and camp. It really is easy to get with a little camping practice if you are a bad PvP player.

1 ReplyThe Thorn bounty is supposed to be tedious and annoying. The weapon is awesome, so it makes sense that the bounty should be difficult and throw you out of your comfort zone. If you're really not cut out for it, go get some friends to stand still for you in a Rumble match.

2 RepliesI lucked out with the bounty on a Voidwalker with Word of Crota, The Calming in Void, and a One Way Ticket in Void. If you have void grenades don't forget to use them! Assists count towards the bounty too. Hit everything you can and hope for the best.

A little time and dedication. You'll eventually get it. Take your time. Don't rush into things. Play for kills instead of objectives. Look for the other Thorn threads for tons of tips.

Sorry, but Thorn is one of the only items in the game that actually can be earned. It's not very easy to get, and that makes it much sweeter when you finish the bounty. I wish all the exotics could be obtained through actual challenges instead of the godawful RNG system.

Thorn is a great weapon and only players who can complete the bounty deserve the weapon

2 RepliesSoloing Xyor was the most challenging and most rewarding activity in this game. IMHO Thorn is a badass gun that deserves to be locked behind tasks too difficult for non-completionists. Trust me, when you finally get there, it's going to feel like winning a championship - don't rob yourself of the accomplishment! I only wish the Gjallarhorn was earnable too... :-/
