Are us pve'ers ever going to get another option to get #thorn
I absolutely despise pvp but want thorn......I can never get my point total above 30. is there ever going to be another option to get thorn?

Do you hear any pvper complain because of the 25 strikes for the Bad Juju ? It takes me longer to complete than the 500 void kills, plus i hate strikes.

I hate PvP but still managed to get through that part of the bounty in about 3 hours. Easier to do on a warlock.

1 ReplyWhat if I told you your PvE skills would grow while playing pvp? They will. Playing crucible a few hours at a time makes PvE seem slower. Even if you suck at crucible, as I do. A chance at rewards every 10 minutes too! Can't beat that.

1 ReplyI despise pve but I want the word of crota.....wahwaheah. Please bungie give us another way get the word of crota. Its unfair that only pve players get it. I love both PvP and pve bit come on people grow a pair and learn to love a complete game.

Just gotta crack a beer and relax with it. I actually did the bounty twice and neither time was really that much of a headache. I do suggest taking breaks tho

The only way you won't get thorn is if your kd is never above a .5, it will take longer but you can still get it done. My kd is not the best but I did it in 7 games. Play smart and safe. Btw if you are wanting it for pve it isn't the best tbh. It's more of a PvP weapon but that is my opinion. Good luck guardian

You can have a .5 kd and still complete it. Edit: it's like pvp players asking for a different way to obtain raid weapons, it's just a horrible idea.

I mostly PVE and I got it, it's not that hard, discipline, patience and calmness. All PVE traits, will get you through.

6 RepliesWhy? I play 95% PVE and I finished the Thorn PVP bounty in 6 games... I was on a hunter with only a void fusion rifle and a void LMG. I can't fathom how bad someone has to be to not be able to finish this simple bounty. My buddy who can't hold more than a .83 KDR in PVP fnished it in 4 hours... You do know that: you get 5 points a kill Assists count as kills(tag someone with void damage and a teammate kills them, thats a kill) You lose 2 points on death(this means 1 kill per 2 death still means you are gaining points....) In other words unless you average a .33 kdr this bounty is impossible for you.

A lot of bad PvPers have managed to finish this one. As someone below said, camp, crouch, snipe/fusion and most importantly, run away when the odds are against you. It took me about 30 matches to get this done.

No, if you cant complete the bounty you cant have it. I suck at PvP and managed to get Thorn. Just practise.

Contrast the number of days you've put into PvE to the number of minutes you've put into PvP. Is it really that weird you're not that good at it yet? Stick with it. PvP becomes easier once you start learning the maps and log the hours.

1 ReplyI used to be a PvE player like you and hated PvP. But after doing that bounty I love PvP now and find it better than PvE. So I pretty much do my raids, night falls and weeklies than PvP for the rest of the week

Yeah. I'm awful at PvP and got it done once I realized you have to play conservatively. Hide, ambush, camp and run from fights if you're losing.

It isn't hard the pvp part requires effort and if you can't give any effort you shouldn't deserve it.
