If you don't know what a SNES, n64 hell even never owned a ps1. You don't know what true gaming is. Please comment thoughts on this. Even comment fav game from that era!
My fav games were Mario party and legend of Zelda. Didn't mind a little metroid prime either :)
EDIT: everyone is spitting out all these great games. I can't even decide my favs now haha.
EDIT 2:Sorry everyone I'm only 23 so I started off with SNES. Happy to hear all the games and consoles before that though. Wish I was around for that.

You don't need to have played on those systems to be a "true gamer". There isn't even such a thing as a "true gamer". We're all gamers. Different kinds of gamers, gaming to various degrees. But gamers nonetheless.

Atari, followed by Sega master system (I think it was called), then the mega drive. Best has to be N64 and golden eye.

Fall 2011, as I fly back to my home town Toronto, I play a visit at my favorite Arcade game hangouts at shopping mall. There was a "Track and Field", I feed my quarter in and a high school kid join the game. I beat him every rounds with all world records. I remember I look at him and say "Do you know how to play? I play this game for 25 years!" They were shocked. XD! It's good old times when games were not designed to be beaten. Ghosts N' Goblins, Castlevania, Rockman (Megaman), Bubble Bubble (No Teleport), Super Mario Bros (Be a man, No Stage Skipping Please), Contra (3 Lives, not 30s), Green Beret..... Beating anything above makes you a legend. Back in times of course.

1 ReplyOr...maybe they weren't born yet? Doesn't mean they're bad? Or maybe they were not rich enough to get a system? (I know that although I got a SNES, I didn't have money back then to get a 64. My older brother got a PS1 and I munched off that and I finally got a 64 a few years ago, just cause I could) At any rate, my favorite game ever would've Little Samson for the NES. Not vey well known but reaaaaaally good for the era. Also FFVIII (yeah, not FFVII) got me to play over 99 hours.
-
1 ReplyI'm 14 and I've played them all. Don't have an SNES anymore tho.
-
2 RepliesIf you didn't go to video arcades growing up you don't know what true gaming is. Mario and Zelda! Ha! That shit was easy! Feeding quarters into Galaga and Donkey Kong and Moon Patrol? Now that was hard.:)
-
LOL snes. You're too young to make a post like this. Atari systems? Original Nintendo? Hell, how about the kids that didn't have pong to play in a living room because their parents couldn't afford it? You had go to the local pizza parlor (yeah I went there) and sit down at a table top for some Pacman or Galaga.
