Do you ever think about the moral consequences in killing bosses?
Like, what if by killing bosses on each mission, you're ending a life with so much more to it?
What if Sepiks had a wife? What if the Nexus was fighting for equal rights in Vex communities? What it the Archon priest had a brother who he had a grudge against for so many years, but was planning to set things right the exact day [i]after[/i] you lit him on fire and burned his corpse?
What if the Gatelord was pregnant? Those tiny Vex babies could've been born the next day. But no, because mommy's eye ball was ripped out of its socket by a bad man so it could be used to open a really big door.
What if Crota was on his way to buy a ring for a very special hive-girl-thing so he could propose?
I'm tellin you guys, it really makes you wonder...

Huh, I just assumed that one of the future raids would involve traveling to Sepik's house in the Fallen suburbs and killing his wife and children. And then after the raid, one of the guardians would be vomiting in the driveway and saying "My God, I think she was pregnant too. I just can't keep doing this. This is wrong." And then another guardian would say, "Suck it up, guardian. We still have to kill Phogoth's developmentally disabled nephew in a nursing home on the other side of the Cosmodrome before noon."

What if the reason the stranger is staying as aloof as possible is because the speaker is obsessed with her so she has a restraining order against him? What if the whole reason we are fighting the vex is because the speaker wants their teleport at ion and time travel capabilities so he can track down the stranger? What if the vex are a special crimes unit investigating the speaker for his deranged perverted proclivities?

Me and my fireteam used to make up stories for bosses. Phogoth was pissed off because his boo thang promised him some afternoon delight, said she liked S&M - so she chained him up, but then left him & took his wallet. She said she wasn't in to "abominations". So naturally Phogoth wants to kill the first thing he sees which happens to be the Guardians who come in through the door. Rough day.
