Heavy Ammo Synth's
I don't know why everyone complains about Xûr never selling any heavy ammo synthesis or how they can't get the glimmer to buy any.
The [b]only[/b] place I've ever bought heavy ammo synth is from the gunsmith. I don't understand how people struggle with getting so much glimmer, I don't even glimmer farm but I still always have some. I do raids all the time, I use synths occasionally and still have well over 160 heavy synth in my inventory.
It's really not that hard.
Edit: It's REALLY not that hard.
Apparently I'm the one who's a "noob" when I've done far more raids and other things than anyone responding. So I'm done replying to the kids who just got this game for Christmas.
Edit 2: Comes to show people get butt hurt when they don't have something other players have.
Edit 3: Thanks to the people who actually read this post and understand what I'm saying.
Edit 4: Even though I have 3 warlocks, in which I indeed swap gear, it doesn't mean I don't upgrade tons of weapons/exotic armor.

People complain because the Heavy Ammo was pretty much the only thing Xur had that's worth buying. It's not so much "we need Heavy Ammo" as is "can we at least spend our Strange Coins".

2 RepliesWell, you see, no one plays this game anymore so no one has glimmer. But bungie gives out strange coins like candy and gives us nothing to buy with them. So we have a stock pile. So if we feel like playing this awful game, we come back to use the only currency we have left. If you're still playing this game and getting glimmer I feel bad for you son

Farming for glimmer adds another layer of repetitiveness to this game that personally I would prefer to avoid. While it may not take a lot of time to get 7 or so synths, there are armor and weapon upgrade considerations as well and that is when it gets time consuming. Even 15 minutes takes the fun completely out of the game for me and it becomes more of a chore.

2 RepliesWell maybe not everyone wants to spend the time farming. You have to admit it takes some time. I farmed a lot this weekend for a shit ton of synths lol. It's also annoying when no one in raids have heavy ammo.

In my case, it's better to spend 1 of my 200+ strange coins for 5 synths. Rather than waste needed glimmer for upgrades.

They took out material farming for a reason,and I sure hope that we won't be glimmer farming now for heavy ammo.not the end of the world just annoying as when I play I don't feel like farming for shit anymore

(to upgrade raid weapons) Honestly glimmer farming feels like to much of a chore to me. It makes me feel like a child that has to do his chores before he gets to go out and play with his friends. I felt the same way about farming materials like relic iron and so on. The thing that gets to me is that there are so many useless currencies and materials that are completely worthless and do nothing but keep stacking up. That's the main reason I really liked buying heavy ammo from xur with strange coins. It let me keep my glimmer for upgrades which I could get enough from playing naturally. Now that I need glimmer for both ammo and upgrades I'm forced to grind which takes me away from what I'd rather be doing. Sorry about this mess of a rant. Just sharing my thoughts on the subject. Thank you.

It is because we use out glimmer for upgrades. I don't know about you but I need to upgrade weapons and armour and that takes up a lot of glimmer so I never have enough to buy a good amount of syns. Plus it takes an hour to get enough glimmer to buy 25 packs.

2 RepliesI'm with all of you. The heavy ammo issue is a microcosm of how Bungie has managed this game from it's initial deployment. If the game has an issue but the user is on the losing end then it's on the "roadmap" to fix. If the issue benefits the user then that shit is sorted out in one week. It's been months, heavy ammo is still broken and Xur the Terrible never sells it, so to all my Guardian brothers here is how you get all the glorious purple ammo. Load up any primary, Icebreaker secondary and any heavy. Deplete all your heavy. Deplete all your primary Now you are left with only 6 Icebreaker rounds. Kill stuff. It's important that as soon as your primary and Heavy are empty you have targets to kill. Whip that icebreaker out and let the genocide begin. If you do it correctly every enemy you kill will drop heavy. BOOM!

2 RepliesIt's not hard to glimmer farm you are correct. If done correctly you can clear 15k in 30 minutes. However, I think you are a fool if you haven't bought any from.xur and frankly I don't believe you. You have so many completions that you would have too many strange coins sitting around. You should have ever exotic needed from xùr about a month or two ago. Congrats on the 90+ completions

I have found that people who gripe about it use heavy synth alot because it takes them alot of attepts to beat it. What I mean by that is, some people will stay in the same raid party and try over and over for a win. They go through too many synth and it hurts to walk away knowing that you wasted 10,000 glimmer. I don't do that. If I burn through more than five its time for a new fireteam. Edit. For me the issue is time. I don't have all night to fight Crota and glimmer is time.

Well for me I guess Xur has became the easy way out to buy heavy ammo. In the past I used to farm glimmer all the time till it was maxed and stock up on heavy ammo. Then Xur started selling heavy ammo and I would just buy them from him with all the strange coins I have saved up. But recently I have been forced to glimmer farm, its not hard just time consuming.

I do a lot of upgrading to my weapons and I buy synths. I'm usually broke because of these. That being said if xur brought synth for even one weekend, i would be ecstatic
