This is why crota isn't a fun raid
This is why I have no ambition to do the Crota raid anymore. I got what I came for and I have no intention of coming back to get the sparrow or ship. The bugs in VOG were annoying but a good team could beat the raid despite them. However do to the mechanics in the hard Crota raid (the oversoul and him enraging when he gets low) these bug cause numerous wipes on attempts that should be wins. Also the fact that you decided to use lvl advantage/disadvantage the raid simply isn't fun. I know this is only one of many bugs but I have yet to see someone present video evidence of these bugs in their post so here you go.
Edit: Amazed to see this trending. In addition apparently there is some confusion with people reading the post only and not watching the video. I know that the low health enrage, and oversoul on people dying is a mechanic and not a bug. Please watch the video to see the bug. You can skip the first 12 seconds if you need to.
Edit 2: I was host with a good connection. Not perfect but the one just under that. So lag may have something to do with it but I did have a good connection. It was one of the first things i checked afterwards.

How do you know you were host? I wasn't aware there was any way to tell? And please don't say because you were Fireteam Leader, because those aren't the same things.

It's scrap I'm soo pissed with crota tryed helping a friend with it last night for his 1st crota raid between the sword disappearing crota running into the room and killing everyone and crota doing this and summoning over souls when no 1 has died and his shield automatically coming back up once you have taken it down gave up in the end was to much of a hassle

4 RepliesI love the raids, both of them. I, however was disappointed with CE. I was expecting more, a lot more. VOG has many twists and turns (Gorgan's Maze, Jumping Phase, etc.) until you figure them out. CE has next to none. It's mostly a run for your life, then shoot this, shoot that kinda of raid. I enjoy puzzles, mazes and things that require thought... perhaps that's why a lot of people complain about the raids... Nevertheless, VOG trumps CE, and that's unfortunate given that it is paid DLC. Moreover, CE is way to short. I want a freaking raid that can consume a good part of my night. Don't give me four small sections for $15/20. I bought the DLC for raids/strikes. The Omnigal strike has almost as much content as CE. Hell, I'll pay $15 for one long ass raid if they could/would provide me with it.

3 RepliesI wouldn't even mind have the shit that happens if it wasn't for the intro. Killing all the adds in the beginning is so time consuming, its a pain in the ass. Atheon has a lot of glitches too, but at least you don't have to spend 10 minuets to start the fight again.

Funny seeing this. Earlier this week I encountered 2 bugs. They're kind of minor bugs but still bugs nonetheless. 1 - Getting, for the second time, weight of the darkness x20 in the abyss. 2 - The second bridge forming, but a piece of the bridge is cut out. You actually see that the bridge is fully formed, but half of it is missing. 3. - Every other bug listed below.

Truth. It's ridiculous how Bungie takes no time at all to fix any cheeses and exploits but once we can't cheese him anymore they don't give shit how many glitches happen...they prolly read these and just laugh...glad it takes us roughly an hour and a half to beat Crota hard when we can basically do it first try every time is it didn't -blam!-ing glitch out -.-

1 ReplyAgreed. The bugs and glitches make the raid a joke. I joined a good group from destinylfg this weekend as my groups was away and we fought bugs and glitches for 2 hours before we finished it. I ran a group last Thursday and we technically "beat" Crota on the first fun, but it glitched again and we didn't get credit. Glitched meaning he enraged, we took him down, sword bearer was smacking him over and over and the oversoul killed us all anyway. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me personally and the 5th time to someone else in that party. It is an issue as I have confirmed it with several others on various raid teams. Fix your shit! Also, your server issues are out of control. The group I joined last week had 4 players from the west coast. They all have decent Internet connections i.e. cable, 30+ down 3+ up. Myself and another player from central US joined the sword bearer so he would have the "best" connection. We both have cable I have 300/30 with Suddenlink and he has 50/5 with Time Warner. We both had a red connection state the entire raid no matter how many times we loaded in. At one point the sword bearer was smacking Crota and on my screen Crota was standing up staring at him. Not to mention the horrible lag in PvP. Sigh...

1 ReplyI'd have to have a pretty dumb reason not to agree with you, my group is getting exhausted by all the glitches, we ran it about 11 times yesterday and every single time something went horribly wrong (glitches) some how a boomer shot through the titan bubble no idea how that happened, none of us were able to grab the sword on a few runs, knights bursting in the room while the glass is still up (bs in every way) crota charging us in orge room, crota summing over soul for absolutely no reason(no one died), this one happened to me (swordbearer knight health was almost gone blasted him with 2 ghorn shots everyone saw he was down sword was on the ground and he showed right back up when I went to go grab the sword full health and all after that I the only reason I still have the drive to maybe do it is for glowhoo on all my characters got everything else I wanted

3 RepliesI agree. I really like the lamp section as it's very different then the rest of the game. Everything else in the raid is kinda blah. The artwork is amazing, but it's just not as fun as VOG.

So many genuinely game breaking bugs against Crota himself. I've been in groups that have taken an hour to do Crota when we definitely could have beaten him repeatedly if the bugs hadn't been present. The one I hate the most is Crota killing the sword user despite them being invisible.
