Why is it that 32's wont help a 31?
I don't understand why " most " 32's wont help a 31 with CE raid on HM. If they have maxed out weapons, exp and such it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Yet every time a 31 sends a message to a 32 they get laughed at or called an idiot. I have tried for a week now and its soon to be re-set day and I still haven't completed it!
Ok, I get that if you don't have maxed out weapons its a lot harder ( especially a maxed out rocket launcher ) . AND not all 32's are @$$ holes, I never said that. Its basically just exp and gear, if you don't have that its almost impossible. But if you've completed the hard mode raid before and your looking to just do it for fun why not help a 31?
Well thanks everyone for your input! I was really just wandering why it was, and ive had a lot of really good answers. Some of it comes down to simply " not gonna help a 31" others " will help if ya got max weapons and exp " and some " Just get your gear maxed to 32 " but once again thanks for everyones input!!!!!
Well im beginning to see that there a lot more people willing to help 31's than I thought. It's not just because we absolutely have to run hard mode..... for some its maybe because you've ran crota on normal until your sick, or rngsus hates you, or maybe you actually are a not so hot games! but in the end we are all just playing for fun, having a good time and what not.... it shouldn't be ruined by getting kicked for dying one time in hm crota or not doing what someone says the first time, patience can make a difference.
( Out of my finally completed run in HM I got Oversoul edict, the abyss defiant again, the fang and a few shards and I only lack 6 from being 32 )

7 RepliesI can honestly say that you are just finding a bunch of @$$hole 32's. With one full hard mode run you could have enough shards to be 32. But, I can say that they are probably looking at your grimoire score and that is what is deterring them. Some people are dicks like that. Seeing your score, I can tell that you haven't been playing that long, and despite what a lot of people say that grimoire score can be a real deterrent. There is a help forum topic that someone put up that has a site that tells you where all of the ghosts are, and which ones you have don't have. I literally went from a 1950 grimoire score to 2450 in a couple hours of just ghost hunting. I also wanted the trophy for it. Plus when people see the higher grimoire score, they know that you have put some time into the game. Not trying to be a dick about it, but I am honestly trying to help you out. You can also send me an add if you are on PS4, and I would be happy to run you through on weekends as that's when I usually do my raids with my clan members.

2 RepliesBefore DLC we had VoG and the Level of that HM Raid is 30. 30 was the highest level we could achieve back. Taking a few 29s through was no big deal... but you certainly didn't want 3+ level 28s in the Raid with you because they were under-leveled by 2... meaning doing 60% less damage. In Crota, being a 31 is the same thing as being a 28 back then. 2 levels lower and 60% less damage. Couple that with the fact that the [b]highest leveled players in the game are ALSO under-leveled to the enemies[/b]. So under-leveled players have to carry really under leveled players. If you want to blame someone, [b]blame Bungie[/b] for giving us a Raid where the highest level players are under-leveled. IMO, that is complete and utter bullsh*t and is what is causing this animosity.

My absolute [b]will not[/b] help point is a level 30 with 300 ATK rating weapons, who says they're skilled and experienced at the raid, then rushes down into the Gatekeeper room, saying that's his normal tactic for hard mode. Ahem-bullshit! You know who you are. Here's a quote of something this rookie said: "3 of my Truth rockets does better than any of y'all's rockets." Lv.30 w/ 300 ATK truth to a group of 31's and a 32 with 331 ATK Hungers of Crota and Gjallarhorns.

1 ReplyIf you play on Xbox 360 and need help message pyrx76 I personally have a Lvl 32 warlock, 31 hunter and a 31 Titan. I'll raid with you if : You have a mic or can hear and follow instructions well. Lvl requirements: •vault of glass (normal) 24+ •vault of glass (hard) 28+ •Crota's end (normal) 28+ • Crota's end (hard) 31+ Being the best gear you have nothing in particular. Work well with others and communicate well (if you ha e mic) And most important listen to your fellow team mates. If you can do those simple things I'll raid with you any time I'm online just shoot me a message :) noobs welcome!!

!!! Update Guy's and Gal's !!! First thing when I got off work, I got home and started my bounties. Shortly after I posted on the lfg that I was looking to do HM crota. I bet ya'll it didn't take 15 seconds and I got an invite from a group of all 32's for a full raid. When we started they went through the usual " Have you done this before? " and Blah Blah Blah....... Well we kinda had to get in the grove ( we wiped a few times right off the bat ) But after 2-3 wipes, we made it to the ogre and everyone across the bridge. The next Bridge was a piece of cake!!! We pulled the whole " Send someone across let them hide then murder everything strat. To my surprise the deathsinger went down with one run. Crota took us 2 tries ( 1st try swordbearer went and hide in the bottom right ogre room like a panzi ), on the second try took him down In 4 swords and no one died. This was an awesome moment for me because they ( the 32's ) didn't doubt me right from the start, after half the raid they started asking me questions about how I did things on the raids ive done before, and at the end they said I was the first 31 that had ever ran all the way through with them!!!!!!!

2 RepliesYou have a higher chance of getting armor by doing the normal raid... Just play that as opposed to worrying about doing the hard mode where I've only had helmet drops... Two of them. I'm not trying to be dick or anything, but I haven't seen an armor drop in Hard Mode from my 5 raids. I'm only trying to help 31s get to 32, something I did, thankfully in two weeks.

My friends and I all 32s helped a 28 guy through nightfall, then hard VoG (he got vex) and after that CE on normal and he still wanted us to help him get more stuff

I think it comes down to two things. 1. No one wants to waste their time. They are there to get the job done quickly and if you don't have maxed launchers or are causing the team to wipe repeatedly its a problem. 2. The heavy ammo bug and synth cost! Every wipe costs everyone half their heavy ammo that they had had to grind glimmer for. Nothing like popping a synth and then losing half your ammo right after it.

4 RepliesMy clan runs raid charities on weekends for people who have a hard time finding a solid group. We'll take two level 31's at a time through the hard raid. Only requirements are max weapons, heavy ammo synth and a mic.

1 ReplyBecause a huge percentage of players are kids or dropouts in the real world. Getting a sense of artificial perceived power in the game world is intoxicating to them and allows a psychological release that they cannot find outside the game world. In other words they are morons.

1 ReplyI beat Hard today with my clan and half of our group (me included) were 31's. those Elitist 32's are just really bad at this game. Pay no attention to them as that's all they want is "attention".

I invite random low levels from the form to the first part of crota on hard. since i can solo the first part easy it gives me someone to talk to while i make that run. They are always greatful and remember me when they get 32 and want to run all the way. Its easy to find a raid team this way.

Here's the thing, so when I run my 32 Hunter and use the sword to kick crotas ass I'm the man, but I show up with my titan who is searching for shards, or my warlock who needs a raid chest plate, I'm a noob, scrub? Half of the 32s out there probably cheesed the heck out of Crota, or have 3 of the same class. It's ridiculous.

Anytime I do hm I take lots of 31s through to crota. Then I take 1-2 31s for the fight at a time.
