As a Guardian with over 582 hours and over 25 exotic weapons and 30 Legendary weapons, it's extremely frustrating and annoying when you are helping newer players and they get ridiculous RNG luck.
I decided to help out new and lost Guardians because I had nothing better to do. I took some noobs under the ruinwings of my Titan to teach them the ropes. After getting them to level 27, I took them through the nightfall, The Vault of Glass, and finished it up with Crota. One of the Guardians I was so generously carrying on my back throughout all parts of the night was a level 27 and only played for 40+ hours. In that one night with me he was RNG handed...
Fatebringer
Vision of Confluence
Gjallarhorn
Red Death
Hard Light
Thunder Lord
3 pieces of Crota Raid gear
ALL IN ONE NIGHT
mind you I have most of those but to see a Gjallarhorn drop and it was for someone who knew nothing of what he just received was frustrating.
"What's Gjallarhorn ugh I don't like Rocket Launchers"
Was his exact statement.
I don't think I will be helping other people again, only because if it drops one more time for someone who doesn't understand the value of the Ghorn. I'm going to loose my mind
Hahahahaha
One day fellow Guardians we will all be blessed by RNG and receive every exotic weapon we could ever desire.
Edit 1 I'm surprised 85 replies and on the trending page =D hahaha
Edit 2 I guess some people can't identify a troll when they post to a forum haha the events are a true story but I never got made about it or act like a selfish elitist lol glad this hit 200 replies =p
Edit 3 Beat the nightfall for some kid he got 18 kills and was rewarded Gjallarhorn my luck is terrible smh

5 RepliesLol it's also a pain to have to deal with hard headed tryhards not willing to cooperate. My example was VOG hard. This kid named Waffleman(insert random numbers here) was in my raid team because he was a friend of a friend. So we get to Gorgon's and what does he do? Goes a completely different route saying "I can solo this for you scrubs" and then gets caught, 3 times before I got fed up with his shit. So he was mad constantly saying he couldn't do stuff because you quote "can't solo this" and his job was to watch center conflux on gatekeeper. So we wipe 2 more times because of his stupidity, but we carry his ass all the way to Atheon. So we got Atheon down to close to 20-ish % health. So I kick him from game, set the lobby to "Closed", and kill Atheon with my Ghorn. You would not believe the rage! He felt like being an asshole somehow meant he deserved a mythoclast. Karma is a bitch.

1 ReplyLower levels always get the better loot
-
9 RepliesSays he wants to help new players. Gets mad that he successfully helped new players.
-
1 ReplyYou've got nearly every desirable weapon in the game and you're begrudging other players drops... You're just a d*ck. and that's from a player with 3 32s and nearly every weapon.
-
1 ReplyThat is absurd. You should help people more often, apparently your good luck.
-
Just saw a level 25 with 1315 grimoire that had a gjallarhorn. It upsets me to see such things.
-
2 RepliesA buddy of mine got ghorn... And it sits in the vault...
-
2 RepliesI'm surprised he didn't the Mythoclass from easy mode aswell...
-
1 ReplyJeez, stop stroking your cock and being an elitist prick. It's rng, random. Your mind is definitely "loose". This community is so -blam!-ed.
-
3 RepliesDude, come on. You've got over 25 exotic weapons and over 30 legendaries and you are unhappy because someone who doesn't have anywhere near as much good loot as you actually starts to get good loot?
-
4 RepliesCan't blame them though, RNG just seems to roll that way. Think of it positively though; you now have someone with a good weapon, in case you need a team for Raids.

9 RepliesI raided with a VoG cherry, the first time he did VoG hard with his friends, he joined his friends 5 man team at atheon. He spawned into the game while they were all killing atheon as he sat there unable to help as he just joined. They killed atheon and the cherry got the vex. Without doing anything. This game is the most non rewarding game for the amount of time people put into it

1 ReplyThis is why you don't help peasants

I don't think I will be helping other people again, only because if it drops one more time for someone who doesn't understand the value of the Ghorn. I'm going to loose my mind
I don't think you understand the "value" of a few lines of code. Lighten up, it's a game.

1 ReplyDay 1 player no gally ran Christmas noob though vog for his first time gally now I'm not mad but how can people say they earn anything when 700 hours no gally yet othe people get it handed to them within first week
-
3 RepliesI have 3 Ghorn so...no jealousy or envy here by whatever nub gets....I'd help but I'm too lazy :p haha
-
3 RepliesI thought you were going to say because noobs suck and don't listen lol. It's all rng man. I was sent a friend request not too long ago by a noob and we did about 10 roc strikes in a row. That dude got suros, uni remote, and about 3 legendary engrams in that one session. All I got was a ship and one legendary with a crap load of decoherents. It is rng baby.

1 ReplyAdding what u have weapon wise plus the hours u played made me choose to mute u. Just stop.
-
3 RepliesI don't mind helping new players, but it's frustratingly annoying when you help them and they turn into elite asshats. Xmas noob: I'm a 32 leet player. Me: A month ago I had to explain the game to you!
-
1 ReplyI was in the tower and had a invite from a random, I was only mooching around so thought 'why not'. He was a squeaker, so mute immediately went on when he put on "gangster rap blaring down his mic" After sitting for 10 minutes through the animated story, we set off. Completed the strike pretty quickly and easily. I left the fire team as I had an invite for vog, I had 32 invites within a 30 minute from him- first time I've had to block someone :-/

1 ReplyI only hate it when the guy in your team who is a NOOB to atheon is using throwing knifes gets a freaking ghorn from the raid yeah that is what set me off to find a good clan to raid with instead of casual players on the forums
-
Well dude...there is one guy I ran and still do run with that get Gjallarhorn extremely often. Last I checked he was up to 8 now. To be honest I think drops are determined by character which I why I keep getting plan c's, Red Deaths, and Universal Remotes.
-
3 RepliesI got my vex the first time I ran hard mode VOG
-
I think you need to help yourself and get on a treadmill.
-
2 RepliesSo you told him the ghorn was crap and to go ahead and dismantle it for the shard? Right? :) nah I couldn't do that. But would be pretty funny in an extreme dick type way, which is usually the funniest!
