Hard raid is almost impossible. Bungie should either nerf it down a little or give us new armor so we can get to level 33. What do you guys think???
Edit 1: guys, im not talking about the entire raid. First two parts are actually as easy as they were. Im talking about specifically Crota, the boss (duh).
No chalice
Enemies above your level
Crota takes just half damage from sword hits
Its just unbalanced

Edited by TheCrimsonStain: 2/7/2015 4:58:51 PMIt's tough but not hard. What makes it hard is the people who joined destiny after the dark below and didn't do the grinding to get to lvl 30. Most guardians just did strikes (or sat down while others carried them) and bought lvl 31 gear. Then they thought they could just do crota with out the weapons needed to take him down. Crota doesn't need a nerf at all. Find weapons that are worth a damn then make sure you lvl it up. Just bc you can get in a raid does not mean you are ready for it. It's that simple.

I'm guessing you're really bad? I did him flawless yesterday
-
Crota on hard is easy as -blam!-
-
Red death for the first room switch to IB or GHorn for the rest of the raid. 5 minutes later watch Crota DIE!!!!
-
My team did it with only a single guy repeating what we were already doing at the moment and so on, fix the glitches, not the raid
-
they just need to fix the bugs and it will seem much easier
-
Beat it 5 times with relatively different raid groups each time. It's not impossible. It just requires a lot of communication and teamwork.
-
Nothing wrong with the mechanics of the Crota fight, it's just buggy as -blam!-. It's nowhere near impossible
-
He is not impossible. Get a good team with a sword runner that knows what they're doing.
-
We did it earlier with 3 of us at 31, 2 of us at 32 and 1 level 30. Level 30 guy was basically hiding the entire crota fight. Point being; its not that hard once you get the mechanics down
-
tip: don't even try the hard raid unless everyone in your team has at least level 31 armor (33 light), although this still gives you a ~40% nerf, so ideally you will have 6 x 32 armor (36 light) in your party and only have to deal with a 27% nerf. You can buy your way to level 31.25 armor so there's no excuse to not be a 31. You only need to do the normal CE raid 3 to 6 times to get at least 3 pieces of 32 armor, and then you can buy the missing piece from Xur, so it's not hard to get to level 32. This is good practice to prepare your team for the hard raid. Raids are meant to be a team effort, so act like one and the hard raid will be much easier.

-
My 6 hard completions say it's fine.
-
learn the trick red death can be your beat friend to regen health plenty other ways too do it as well
-
You need a A++ SwordRunner & Ghorn max or HoC both are good and good communication with you team i beat it plenty times even we 2 31 and one time with a 30
-
Get a grip he s easy did it with 2x31 in a group
-
Find a good team and get in sync. The whole raid is easy.
-
Pretty easy if u ask me I beat it three times this week already all I can say is get good and get a good group
-
Lol. He is easy.
-
Im opposite. I die just about every other part except crota. Shoot rockets and hide. Hope that u have an experienced sword guy and gears with health regen.
-
1 ReplyI thought so too, until I found a good group today. You definitely need six good players, no deaths, and a totally consistent sword bearer.
-
It really isn't that tough crota can be destroyed with two swords
-
3 RepliesDoing the bridge legit is actually the hardest part of the raid.

Think about it If there are some lvl 32 enemies and the rest 31 in normal Then hard would just all be 32 Think about it next fgt
