I'm 13 years old, and despite my voice not being overly high-pitched, you can definitely tell I'm not an adult. Last night I ran VoG on hard and was kicked for being a "squeaker". Tonight I ran Crota and got kicked for not talking. Should I speak up and risk getting kicked for being too young, or should I remain silent?

I dont think it matters how old you are. If your a dick your a dick. If your alright your alright. I got in a group of 5 people 25+, it was just them trying to bum each other and trying to be the funniest on the fireteam. I left and jumped on a raid with a group of high school american kids who turned out fine

NO. love this topic Bee Tee Dubs

No. It doesn't help that you squeakers are always so damn loud too. Put the mic farther away from your face and STFU
-
1 ReplyDepends on how squeaky they are. I'll accept mice, but balloons are a big "no-no"

1 ReplyFunny, I'm 12, I have never been kicked for being a "squeaker." Probably because most people assume I'm 18 because of my voice..... I get slightly high pitched when I'm hysterical.

Edited by DragoonKai: 1/22/2015 2:30:24 AMHere's my issue with younger people talking: they get overly excited. Hell, I've played with girls who have squeaky voices because, well, girls. But kids get too loud! "OMG I JUST DIED DID YOU SEE THAT?!! OH SNAP HE DID IT AGAIN HAHAHAHA LOLZ HEY GUYS OVER HEEEEEEERE!" That stuff gets annoying. If there's a kid out there who can control their voice properly and knows how to play, I won't mind. At the same time, if you don't wanna talk then say so from the beginning. I have a faulty headset that makes it so that people can't hear me unless I hold the cable on a certain position (but either I hold it or I play so...). I told my fireteam that I could still hear them and I would motion at them when they asked me stuff so they knew I heard them and acknowledged them. They didn't have an issue

I don't care if your young just don't be a fag (not saying you were) i would suggest talking about the mission but don't talk about random things. I personally wouldn't mind if you talk but others might

When doing strikes I don't mind when doing raids GTFO please

Im 13, and sound 13. Its funny though because I ask if I can hold relic and people snicker like im bad even though I never cause a wipe. Then what usually happens is they dont know how to cleanse, they let me do it, and we get Templar or Atheon done pretty quick.

Just talk at a reasonable volume and say what's necessary.
-
Just don't scream
-
It really doesn't matter what your voice sounds like. What really matters is if you're irritating.
-
I don't mind. As long as u are not someone who feels the need to talk constantly.
-
I don't care really but if you act like a know it all who tryna tell me what to do, that's what makes me mad when a kid like 12 years old tries to lead the group.
-
There was this one middle schooler I played with that was talking quietly and sounded raspy. Also swore quite a bit. It was apparent he was trying desperately hard to sound older. That annoys me more than a young voice ever would. Just be yourself. You don't have to feel like you need to please others. If people don't like you, for being yourself, fück em

1 ReplyI think it matters what you say. I hear unbelievable language...out of the mouths of babes! The other problem is the harassment. I play Destiny to have fun.

1 ReplyThe rules for joining a group Talk when you need to Stay alert Don't die Don't be a dick If you can do that anyone can take you in. Squeaker or not.
-
3 Repliesim 13 but everyone thinks im like 17 or some crap. i seem to have had my balls drop way too soon.
-
I judge on skill not voice. Now if you are just being annoying or trolling you can be sure you will be kicked.
-
As long as you don't talk nonstop, it doesn't matter. As long as you aren't an ass, it doesn't matter.
-
If it's important, yes
-
4 RepliesI'm also 13 but people say I sound like I'm 17-18
-
If you do talk just try not to be annoying, lots of younger kids tend to get quite loud and annoying. I know I was when I was younger.

Speak up until you find a group of friends who are welcoming!
