I think I'm done with the weekly nightfall
For little more than over a month now, every time I have completed the nightfall strikes across three characters, I literally have been looting nothing but ascendant materials, and mean while my friends loot some of the best stuff in the game. Just a moment ago i completed it and got a legendary primary weapon engram that turned into two ascendant energy and both of my friends got the radiant dance machines. This is so frustrating. Is anybody else experiencing what I'm going through? #rantover
[b]edit:[/b] for those of you saying I'm crying and complaining? I'm not crying at all I'm just simply saying across three characters for a month and a half I haven't looted anything but ascendant materials. I'm just fine with not looting anything but when I run it with friends? They always loot the best weapons and gear in the game. So I'm sorry but that rubs me the wrong way. I'm gonna continue to play the game I was just wondering if anybody had the bad luck I'm experiencing. Honestly if bungie were to change the reward drop to radiant materials instead of ascendant? I wouldn't have a problem with the night fall. And you wouldn't see me posting to the forums.
[b]edit2[/b] a lot of you are saying the nightfalls are for the Exp bonus. I know and understand that. That's why I do it. But the nightfall is also a chance of getting really good exotic weapons and gear as well.
[b]edit3[/b] being since people are still telling me to stop crying and complaining. I'm gonna turn my topic into a question. Do you think bungie should add radiant materials to the reward drops? And do you think ascendant materials should be kept in? Tell me your thoughts.
[b]edit4[/b] for those of you who are still telling me to stop crying and complaining. When I initially wrote this topic I was angry. Thus my judgement and thought process was clouded. I have a whole new outlook on the manner now, I start up the nightfall with the mindset to get the bonus exp and rep. Anything else I loot is just a Cherry on top. When the nightfall ends and the reward screen pops up, I then expect nothing. End of story. On a positive note, 1000 replies and counting! Thanks for the support guys! Really appreciate it! Cheers!!!

1 ReplyI totally understand you. Being getting at most faction weapons and all of them are useless. I just got from this week a legendary engram that turn into two shards, while i've just gotten 2 from the daily without breaking a sweat! And meanwhile my team got 12 coins and MIDA.

1 ReplyDon't feel bad for having an opinion that others criticize. Without people complaining I would most likely have received 5 strange coins per run of nightfall again this week, instead I received 18 and a purple gun (too bad it's the forth nitc in two weeks ). I run nightfall three times a week for the drop and nothing else, I'm positive I'm not alone.

1 ReplyOne of my clan mates has not received a single exotic for the past 9 weeks, he still hasn't given up on the nightfall. Just because you cannot get what you want does not mean you should give up on the it. All rewards/loots are RNGesus based. You cannot expect RNGesus to bless you all the time.

1 ReplyRan it 3 times with two other guys, and over those 9 drops, we had 4 that were ascendant materials, 3 that were coins, an awful low impact sniper and the same pulse rifle that I've gotten 3 out of the last 4 weeks... I think that they've adjusted the drop rates in Nightfall. Up until about a month ago, if we ran it with 3 people, at least 1 exotic was all but guaranteed to drop...

1 ReplyThese past couple of weeks are the first of ever of my suckiest rewards. I remain positive about it though, since I know I had a good run and things can change. Also, my buddy in the clan hasn't had a good drop in ages, yet he still helps other people out with NF regularly. So I will just keep my mouth closed

1 ReplyI'm all about the bonus exp. Keep stuff that I like, shard everything else. Got a nice badger ccl and plug 1 or whatever this week. Last week got some "exotic shards". Before that, mostly a bunch of crap purples and/or energy/shards since tdb dropped. Which for a little while was annoying. Got over that. I'm good now.

1 ReplyI agree with you bro I have all the exotics I want and all I really want comes in the raids so f it man!!! No real point for me to do the nightfall. Plus the maturity level of this forum I think fall around 13-14 years old adolescents. So don't fret.

They're the lucky ones and would be the first ones out of the door if they had experienced this dry spell What will you do when all your weapons and gear are maxed out? Stop running nightfall because you're not getting loot? The loot system is flawed. Whomever says otherwise got his loot on the first try. I have been one of the lucky ones. Got hawkmoon on my first NF run. But I do feel bad for people who are not so lucky.

I was actually in a group a few weeks ago and both of my team mates got ghorn....I got...wait for it!....ascendant materials.....whomp whomp Good luck! Hopefully your luck changes
