Crotas end impossible due to glitch
Guys, ever since the patch, I've been running crotas end as normal, yet when we get to crota himself there is a glitch that makes him impossible to beat.
We run everything exactly as we did before, which worked every time. But when we get him to his knee, he seems to stand back up? Then the boomers kill someone and the oversoul wipes us.
Bungie pls, how the he'll are we supposed to drop crotas shield like 5 times to kill him? This is impossible and ridiculous. Thanks for nothing.

3 RepliesI just finished it an hour ago. The only hiccups were from the boomer guy sucking. After we booted him it was sooth sailing.

I think if crota sees a person within melee range the kneeling affect won't happen until he's moved towards the target and swings. When he finally kneels it's almost time for him to get back up so it seems he never had really kneeled. If he killed the person with his melee the added time of his animation for summoning the oversoul takes up the rest of his kneeling time so he never goes down. To summarize crota's kneeling animation comes in last to whatever else he might do.

3 manned the entire raid twice today, I have yet to encounter this glitch.

Hmm, I dunno about that. But there was an issue with the Oversoul (That giant thing that looks like a freakish sun that you have to shoot before it kills everyone?) At one point it would show it was killed and for others it would still be there resulting in an entire team wipe. Which I thought was patched to prevent this but either way it happened maybe, three times? But other than that I think everything went normal (Sadly I have yet to do the raid start to finish, was randomly invited for the last checkpoint)

2 RepliesI jumped in front of him while he knelt and screamed " while your down there...." to great laughter of my fireteam. However he stayed that way and my titan couldn't move.... We then defeated him in a very uncomfortable way. Not sure if this is a glitch? Maybe it was all the hive armor pieces? Hard to even look at Crota now..

1 or 2 swords is all that is needed to kill Crota legit.Bad timing may require a 3rd sword. Learn how to do it the right way and it's easy.

I beat him all three times this week. All random teams 1st Character - Took us several attempts but got it down fairly quick. 2nd Character - Partly same team - some new randoms, we couldn't do it. Many weak links, I bailed. 2nd Character still trying - (after may many attempts) - The frustration, couldn't find a solid group to save my life. Questioned why God hated me so much many times. Finally found a solid team, stupid mistakes prolonged the Crota slaying but we got it done. 3rd Character - It was mostly players from my second character group, we added two randoms and ran Crota flawlessly, from beginning to end, no cheese on any portions of the Raid. Took us maybe 25 minutes. After this very painful, two day struggle I made several observations. 1. LVL 32's make it sooooo much easier regardless of skill. 2. The Cheese nubs are real. Hopefully after players learn from this week, the upcoming weeks will get better.

1 ReplyDid raid crota yesterday and today. First attempt lastnight with a full team. Today it took 3-4 attempts with a group of 3. Stop whining and figure it out. Never cheese until you've mastered a strategy that actually works... Save yourself a huge amount of trouble!

He gets back up cause they patched the cheese. So if needed him on his knees the whole time in order to beat em, wat makes u think u can beat em wen he gets back up in 3-5 seconds. #moldycheese
