I have recently gotton the icebreaker.
And i hope thag xur dont sell the icebreaker or the gjholahorn because, if he then it will ruin destiny because when these weapons drop you feel like you have earned a trophy.
So do you agree with me that xur shouldn't sell the icebreaker or gjholahorn again
Btw i have done hard vog,nightfall and croata raid every week now and have deleted and made new accounts so i think i have earned the ice breaker.
And if xur sells the ice and the ghorn a massive nerf will happen like the vex

So there's this kid right? Sam, Let's call him Sam. There's was this Deli that sold different items every week and everyone could buy a certain item this Deli. Only here's the Thing: The Host of this Deli will only stay for 3 days. Also this host does not accept Widely known Currency but a different kind, but through studying and passing test, you could gain these different kind of currency. This Deli sells a hot item for one of his visits but never agains sells it for the future weeks until either he randomly chooses to or his boss decides for him. Now there's another way to obtain this item through a lottery. To participate in this lottery all you have to do is, live life. You could do the lottery as many times as you want with nothing stoping you but your own mind set. Now Sam does this. He Grinds tests to get a chance at the lottery until finally he gets the hot item. Now Sam has this notion that all his hard work makes him a special snowflake and beloved that the host shouldn't sell the item, because he feels he earned it and the host selling it would diminish this sense of earning. But little does Sam know that he didn't exactly earned it because his system of earning is, to put to simple terms: stupid. He nether did anything different from other people nor did he do anything that showed that he truly deserved the item, like cracking an insane puzzle or solving ones of life's mysteries. And even those don't merit such items! No Sam just got Lucky. And this Luck has given him the delusion that he earned it when in fact there are some people who have done feats better than him but have not been rewarded for it. What Sam [b]earned[/b] was a [b]chance[/b] not the item. It how does one earn an item? You don't, the only sense of earning in Sam's world is if you acquired enough of the host's currency by doing difficult test which you could do an unlimited amount of time until the test change of [b]you have the insane mind set to do so[/b]. Debate? Go.

Hello. I have the Ghorn and feel the bosses etc get more aggressive when you hit them with it. As if they're saying "Ok smart ass take this homing rocket back at you!".

5 RepliesI have the Ice Breaker, got it randomly from the Crucible. Now, explain to me how another player earning strange coins, by playing Weekly Strikes, finding blue engrams, opening chests, etc...then by turning those coins into Xur in exchange for Ice Breaker or Gjallarhorn, "will ruin destiny". How in the HELL..does it "ruin destiny"? What does one player having a weapon have anything to do with you? If anything at all, another player having the Ice Breaker or Gjallarhorn will make the game better, because it will make everyone on a level playing field, including PvP where all the cry baby whiner's want every gun in the game they don't have nerfed. Please, STFU and stop playing now. People like you are a cancer and plague destroying the community. If my friends were able to get the Ice Breaker, I'd be soooo happy, it'd make our lives doing Nightfalls, Weeklys and Raids much much easier. Why you clowns all want to be "the only person with x,y & z weapon" is mind boggling to me. Bragging and holding weapons as trophies, THAT DROP RANDOMLY is more then laughable, it's just pitiful. THE ONLY WEAPONS THAT ARE "EARNED" ARE EXOTIC BOUNTY WEAPONS. THOSE ARE THE ONLY WEAPONS XUR SHOULD NEVER SELL. AND HE WON'T. SO THIS DEBATE IS OVER. SHUT UP ALREADY.

Xûr already sold them both, I have both and I wouldn't mind if he sold them again. His weapons are random and it wouldn't be fair to deny everybody else whatever weapons he sold. So you just got Ice Breaker, are you telling me you wouldn't have bought it if he sold it a couple of weeks ago? Be glad you have them because they are both awesome and be happy for other people to get them however that may be. It makes strikes with randoms easier!

Xur should not be manipulated. He should function exactly like every other RNG aspect of the game. If he sells it, he sells it. If it gets a nerf, its nobody but Bungies doing.

I don't agree that buying it means you didn't earn it. Say me and two friends play nightfall, weekly, & daily together 10 times. We each get the same amount of strange coins, and have played the same missions at the same time. One of them gets gjallarhorn in a nightfall drop. One uses his coins to buy gjallahorn. Which one of the players has worked harder or done more to earn that weapon? In my opinion all 3 players have done the same amount of playing, the same missions, & put in the same amount of time. 1- Do VoG hard, get Gjallarhorn on second time you beat Aetheon. 2- Do VoG hard, no Gjallarhorn after 20 HM completions. Gjallarhorn goes for sale, buys it. Why did player one earn it and player two didnt?

I want my team mates to have the best possible stuff when we play together. If we are running a nightfall together, and then a weekly or a raid, I hope while running the nightfall you get whatever you need to make my weekly or raid experience with you better. Be it a horn or an icebreaker, or something that up until just now I was the only person in existence to know existed. If it helps me for you to have it, I want you to have it. So no, I do not agree.

I don't think he should sell it. It would take away the novelty of the game, and then if everyone has Gjallarhorn, they would either nerf it or buff bosses due to it being far too easy. Having 1 or less Gjallarhorn per fire team seems good right now.

I have the g horn and what the ice breaker but I don't think he should sell it because then every one can easily blow through most strikes and the raids

If Xur sells Gjallarhorn it will be nerfed because if the majority of players own it at its current strength, the game will become unstable. If it is nerfed, (depending on its impact decrease) I don't think players will desire it as much. Bungie know there's a large number of players who don't own it and will continue to play Nightfalls, Raids, PVP etc.. to obtain it, as well as those who have Gjallarhorn but want another or two for their other Guardians.

5 RepliesI have both ice breaker and gjallarhorn (well I did have 2 but broke my second one down). As for selling them, yes I think they should be sold. Reason I think they should be sold is because some people seem to have really bad luck getting things drop for them. Its not fair that one person can play half the time as another and have everything just work out for them due to luck. With xur, it allows those who are unlucky put some of their hard work to use, and they can make their own luck. People who have these guns drop for them always act like they earned them in some big way. Did I really earn my gjallarhorn because it dropped in a lvl 24 strike? No not really. I lucked out. The guy playing the weekly for strange coins and buys a ghorn worked harder for his in all honesty. People in this game need to be better to each other. If you're a 32, run some lower lvl people through the raid. If someone gets a great drop, be happy for them. Just because its a game, or we chat on a forum, doesn't mean you need to be an elitest jerk. Be humble about the fact that things worked out for you, and help those who haven't been so lucky.

I have icebreaker and Gjallarhorn 2.0 both maxed at 331. I don't want him to sell either because everyone will buy them and they will get nerfs up the ass.

I both agree and disagree. I wouldn't mind xur selling them, but you're right, ATM they do feel kind of like trophies when they drop.

1 ReplyI am a day one player, with more hours than I should have in this game,it was only last week that I received both the Icebreaker and Gjallarhorn. I missed the early sale of Ghorn, and I missed out on Icebreaker by one coin(spent the entire Xur visit trying to get one) After that I created my second and third characters to never miss out. I think he should still sell them as even though it was the coveting of these weapons that spawned my addiction to Destinty, I would like others to enjoy them as much as I have.

I'm a beta player with 197 hours since the official day 1 launch. I don't have either of those guns. You're totally right, we don't deserve it. But you do. /sarcasm what a tool

4 RepliesI bought ice breaker the first time he sold it. So no, its not really a trophy...super good advice is more of a trophy as i just got the bounty for it over the weekend, it was nice because it took all of 10 minutes to do. Thunderlord still evades me however.

It's all random. They say they don't control what exotic is sold each week. It's all random. At least that's what they say
