I've never gotten past the first part of the Crota Raid with all the thrall around even with a fireteam. i've tried experimenting on my own to see if theres any other way to run down the path safely but nothing seems to work. Can any fellow Guardian help me resolve this?

We usually just leg it, killing as we go and use each lamp to lift the weight of darkness. If anyone dies, we hang back from the lamp so it doesn't explode, revive and then get to the lamp. Generally pretty painless. :)
-
All we do is have everyone run at the same time stop at the lamp and usually have 2 people shooting thralls in the path to the next lamp and 4 people turn around and shoot thralls behind us. Stay at each lamp for maybe 10 seconds. Works fine for use.

On xb1 add me I'm a lvl 32 and I'll help
-
If you are are Xbox add me I'll be lamp jumping soon
-
Remember, not everyone needs to get to the end. If someone's too far behind, don't even try.

I was thinking sun breakers plus solar grenade plus radiance? That got me thru 3 lanterns solo. Just need someone to pick up where I leave off as it's just instant death when radiance is done!

Here is a cheese somebody told me about http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UaE1VqjzjEw

Run in a group and have everyone have a position on the clock.. cover 360 degrees and you'll be fine.. its very effective when your teammates cover their areas. Make sure to stay together, stragglers cause chaos in that part.. slow and steady my friend.

-
I don't. I solo the first chest with all three of my characters and then go back to doing bounties or something else.
-
There seem to be a few thrall waves. Once you get through them you waltz your way to the end... Set the bridge. Then run like a mofo.
-
I can solo that part by using my invincibility sorry I meant invisibility. Sometimes I use both.

1 ReplyShoot thrall in the face and run like a little bıtch
-
Use bad juju
-
What platform are you on?
-
Stay together, keep moving, go from lamp to lamp, throw grenades behind, shoot the ones in front.
-
What class are you running for this? Area of effect grenades work great for keeping thrall at bay, albeit for only a few seconds.
-
We don't go around them. We go through.
-
RLH...Run Like Hell. First Guardians on the lamp are to kill thrall chasing the others. Form up on lamp and then move.
-
Stay together as a group someone dies wait and revive that's the easiest way.
-
It's all about a good group that can stay together and not die I haven't had an issue getting past that part

1 ReplyWhat i actually do is have a blade dancer hunter go ahead and activate all the lanterns themselves. Once said hunter reaches the end, he just waits on top of a rock safe from thralls killing him. As for the rest of the team, they are behind like 3-4 lanterns. What actually happens is that all the thralls are gone and surrounding the hunter at the end. For the rest of your mates, they are just walking all the way to the end without any resistance. They never have to worry about thralls. They simply just have to walk. As for activating the magic circle, it is best to have your mates surrounding the magic circle. And by surrounding, I mean to be 40 meters away from the magic circle. The problem most fireteam members have is that they all huddle inside the magic circle making them very easy targets. However, if all your mates are spread out, they take off the heat from knights from the people at the magic circle. Yes, you are sacrificing some of your team members to their death, but you only need 1 person to make it across anyway. Ideally, a hunter or warlock are the options to be the ones to run across. If you can get everyone, even better. Hunters can go invisible once the bridge is formed. Warlocks can be dead at the magic circle and wait until the bridge is formed, then they self revive for a quick run. Has worked alot of times for me. In addition, if you are going to defend your magic circle, i suggest going all out. Take out those heavy machine guns and kill everything you see. Primary weapons do not have enough power to manage the countless waves of enemies.

If you have someone who can get to the bridge to activate it the rest can walk up in the dark unhindered. Break out the gallyhorns and kill everything at the top where they died then someone make a run for it while the rest try and give you a head start. It's not the best tactic I don't usually have trouble but it's the best way of fluffing it I can think of. Everyone gets rewards even if they are dead.

Max agility and turn and burn at each lamp

3 RepliesEdited by Nunkey: 12/29/2014 6:59:54 PMLamp launch is the way to go if you want to solo it. Check the video some one posted a while back. If your in a group just move as a tight squad. Kill all thralls then the leader says move and you all go. Then at the next lamp reduce the darkness. Rince and repeat.

I go defender class. Chuck a few grenades and punch and heavy weapon orbs for my party. They in turn use there supers. Rinse repeat.
Thunderlord drops a lot of orbs for you blade dancers.
