How do you pass all the Thrall in the first part of 'Crota's End'?
I've never gotten past the first part of the Crota Raid with all the thrall around even with a fireteam. i've tried experimenting on my own to see if theres any other way to run down the path safely but nothing seems to work. Can any fellow Guardian help me resolve this?

To do it legit, you need to all move as group, everyone needs to be shooting in a different direction while you are cleansing at a lamp. One person needs to be the shot caller for when to move and which direction. If someone falls behind, do not activate the lamp, as they will not have time to cleanse their darkness and will continue falling behind. I MO hunters should be blade dancers using showstopper. The hunters in my group break this out if we get swarmed, and it wrecks the mobs. Warlocks are best as a voidwalker, yes the revive is nice, but the Nova Bomb destroys large groups, and with the Obsidian Mind you can literally throw a nova bomb, and be recharged instantly. Titan, if they have Saint Helm can use their bubble to CC and slow enemies on the path. Blessing of light is also helpful as the pvershield can help a weakened group survive. After awhile, if you have a solid group you won't even need to communicate to do this.

I just stay invisible on my hunter and loop back to revive my teammates. I kinda play like a safety net. On my warlock I just kill stuff and spam my 2 melee charges backed by 99% strength for almost never ending flame shield. Plus grenades and if my whole team goes down and I'm dead I self res, revive everyone, and gg.

Use the rocks at any point they start to overwhelm you. Once up there, they can get you. Running past and then turning around is the best though. Everyone has to be on the same page.

1 ReplyPush forward to each lamp. As a team arrive at the same time, turn around and clear the thrall behind you. Stay together. If someone goes down do not activate the next lamp - pick them up. At 2 points there will be knights ahead, ensure you all have eyes open and call them - the team can shred the knight collectively easy. When you get to the bridge switch spread four out across the switch and 2 on the bridge at either side. Titan bubbles to the sides of the switch if you need it. Warlocks with radiance are best as the bridge pair. Main priority there is to keep those 2 alive at all costs, as they'll be the runners for when the bridge is formed. Both runners should be watching for and dealing with Ogres with sniper rifles. That's what works for us.

9 RepliesI can't fathom how incompetent a group must be at moving and communicating that you can't do the abyss. Have we failed and started over again before, yep. Have I ever been unable to do it? No. There must be some serious communication issues if you can't do that event. Frankly, if you don't want to communicate with others because you "just want to get shit done" then move on to something else and stop raiding. When I say "you" I'm not talking about the OP; I'm talking to all groups of 6 that can't do simple tasks.

I love obsidian mind Oh and this may help we usually have one team member watching the next light so when the thralls start coming from that direction we know and can move on.... Another tip if your having trouble would be have a sun singer wipe at very beginning with radiance up so when the team wipes he/she can pick up the ones who died on the way....this works well if your team is lacking in experience. The first time in there was very hectic its made to make you panic and abandon your team this is the worst thing you can do. First to the lamp turns around before activating the lamp and helps cleat thralls, second faces the next lamp and alerts team when thralls are swarming from that direction so you know when to bounce. Alternate supers, FoH and nova bomb work best.

It's fun to bludgeon your way through with a team of 5 or six. But generally it's easier to have some one launch and finish it. The rest of the party can follow huffing it.

Just. Run. Survival of the fittest. Leave the chubby members of the fireteam behind let the the thralls feast on them while you run ahead. I mean look at Eris she's still alive, survival of the fittest just run.

either use the 'cannonball' method (its a cheese) or run invisi specced hunter. or a voidwalker with the combo and vortex super.
