If you go changing things at this point you're gonna have a -blam!-ing riot
I love your game but if you change things after you tell us this is how it will be and after I've bought a ton of upgraded exotics THE REAL HARDCORE PLAYERS WILL LOSE THEIR SHIT.
I traded in 5 of my exotics this last week and will do it again the next depending on what xur offers......if you suddenly make it cheaper and less grueling you are catering to bad kids who won't put the time in
Seriously dont listen to these moron writers who jump on the bungie hate train.......some of us like the grind and if you take away the new way YOU LAID OUT FOR US then people really will quit because you will have LOST YOUR BACKBONE

9 RepliesEdited by KingSlayerKat: 12/22/2014 2:28:16 AMI just don't understand what the big deal is restarting your exotics. What is it? I've done it to 6 and have fully upgraded all the armor and am almost done with my favorite weapon. The way I see it is, it gives me something to work for, the game won't drop me new exotics, so I might as well upgrade my old ones and work toward that. I haven't been so excited to do bounties for weeks. 300 attack weapons are still viable, you don't have to upgrade your exotics, it just makes them far more helpful. Exotic armor is so fast to upgrade, there's no point in complaining there. You can do an armor piece from zero to max in 2-3 days of non-dedicated play time.

2 Replieshttp://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/86264832 I was very defensive about Destiny for the longest time, but the last several weeks and new expansion has changed my opinion. Polygon has morons writing for it like every other article, but calling it a Bungie hate train is just plain ignorant. Because some people do not share the same opinion does not make you right and them wrong. And changing things needs to be done, not changing would cause a riot. You are not everyone.

Edited by CTZYX: 12/22/2014 2:31:20 AMThen to make it fair no 2.0 exotics drop, have to upgrade through xur. And that's only after you max it out.

11 Repliespolygon speaks the truth.

2 RepliesIt's definitely a good thing to call devs out on poor choices in games. Silence is akin to approval in video games. If I was a dev I would appreciate praise but would appreciate criticism much more.
-
10 RepliesPolygon actually fought for Destiny when it got a metascore of 6/10. The writer is also a hardcore Destiny player.

2 RepliesBungie don't listen to this ^ guy Lmao. Dude, Just think how much glimmer you could save if they lowered the exotic upgrade price. Less time wasting away in the exclusion zone. Bad news. NO one is a special snowflake. We have over a dozen level 32s already. The causal players are winning. New casual players will get the game Xmas day and buy level 31 gear....better then VoG gear that required hours to grind and pray for shards. In 3 months it will happen again. Casuals will laugh at the time you hardcore grinders have wasted. Sorry bud. Best of luck. Enjoy your grind wipe grind cycle.

Even if you make crud, stand by it and believe in it.

34 RepliesYour all not very smart. This is how a MMO works. The grind is fun and doesn't take that much time at all. This game is awesome. Yea a few little changes could be made. But not taking out the grind. All the grind is like prestiging in call of duty. When the new dlc came out it's like you prestiged in call of duty. All the old stuff was to keep you In line with the old stuff. And all the new stuff is to keep you line with this stuff. Just like you were to prestige in call of duty. You lose all your previous stuff end of story. Your just looking at it different. It's all just like call of duty just a little different.but basically you just prestiged and your reward is stronger weapons. Instead of a new class spot like call of duty. Good lord kids are just bad and not smart so they don't know how to do things faster in this game. I have all 12 exotics xur offered to upgrade and almost all are fully upgraded already. Yea I put a lot of time into this game. But i can upgrade one exotic in just 2 hours. Especially armor. If you want me to get it all on video me upgrading an exotic in 2 hours I will so. And now with iron banner out I can probably get more then one exotic armor piece upgraded in 2 hours. The only thing needed to be fixed is the loot system in the raid. I think it should track what loot you have already got and not give you doubles until you have everything

5 Replies1) The people writing those articles know a lot more about video games than you do 2) The writers see the potential for Destiny and write to critique the game so that it will be better 3) Just because you like something does not mean that it is the best way to go about doing things 4) Yes I did read the articles and I agree with them 100%

5 RepliesPlayers need to stop wanting everything handed to them. That's all I have to say. I'm sure all of you players complaining are from call of duty. Well guess what. I was from cod. And yet a lot of you complain about destiny...it's repetitive, to much grind, omg all my stuff from before is useless now I have to upgrade it again. TEARS!!! TEARS!!! TEARS....well guess what call of duty is just as repetitive, same maps over and over again, your grinding for attachments on your weapons by doing something to get those attachments, and then the dlc for destiny comes out and you have the option to upgrade your guns to make them STRONGER, basically you just prestiged like you would in call of duty except you didn't lose anything like you would in call of duty, but instead you can upgrade your weapons and armor to be even stronger, but call of duty you are going to get nothing but a silly class spot, and have to upgrade your weapons all over again but you don't complain about call of duty ? And last but not least you bitched dlc didn't have enough for 17 bucks a piece 34 for two dlcs. Well considering the 17 dollar dlc was three times more then the dlc you get for call if duty lol. Either way your being hypocritical or your just one of those ppl where nothing is good enough for you. The system destiny is using is how this kind of game works if you don't like it leave. I didn't get my first piece of raid armor until my 5th raid and I'm not complaining. Sometimes you have great luck sometimes horrible luck. All I'm saying is the game is a great game and is very similar to other games you just look at it different or your complaining about every game that's ever created. You can't make a game to easy because ppl will only play it for so long. The way it's set up is to keep you playing.

8 Repliesyou are an idiot i f***ing hate people like you where not spoiled to ask for it to be changed i have already played 27 day and spent over 200 coins and 256,00 glimmer leveling up my exotics and i'm not alone their bungie acts like none of that matters and we shouldn't be punished so newbies like you can fell special

Edited by RunnyLungbutteR: 12/21/2014 4:34:00 AMI agree man. Stop catering to crybabies. I want the game to be challenging. They shouldn't even give you an upgrade option. They're not forcing you to upgrade. If you don't want to re-level the -blam!-ing exotic then don't get a new one.
-
13 RepliesYou read the article, right? Are they saying anything that you don;t agree with? The points they have made are exactly why I have dreaded playing this game as of late... all my efforts for the past 3 months where made for not in a single day.

7 RepliesThere is A lot that could be improved. The matchmaking, for starters. If I'm doing strikes to grind for marks, and people are AFKing, I report them as unhelpful and I leave yet I get thrown into a lobby with the same guy? Next loot, the RNG especially with Xür; the voidfang fetish freak. Add a algorithm that prevents duplication of items dropping (Raid) or being sold (Xür). It honestly is frustrating, enough voidfangs! The last thing I'll touch on is the PVE maps. They said maps size of the entire game of "Halo Reach", what happened to that? If we could see it we could go there. They, Bungee, really hyped the exploration and it's pitiful. Recycling the same maps over and over, it lacks variety. Thats my top 3 that needs revamping anyway.
-
9 RepliesHaha hardcore Destiny players that's a good one. How can you be hardcore at something that's so easy and simple?
-
2 RepliesLol .... They don't listen to ANYONE. They're cashing checks.
-
5 RepliesDon't worry, Bungie isn't listening to anyone but Activision. So they'll keep doing what they do best: work as hard as possible to be as lazy as possible, and spoon feeding this bullshit to the brainwashed fanboys like you who like to do the same bounties, strikes, cheeses, and farming runs for hours on end, even though it all feels like a chore.
-
I feel like I put to much time into this game. less than 10-15 a week. You definitely put way to much time into the game.
-
Bungie don't listen to shit man. They like YOUR PAIN MAKES US STRONGER
-
Its funny how you're defending it when literally every company that reviewed gave it a low/mediocre score.
-
11 RepliesPolygon and Kotaku both make a fair point about the game.
-
8 RepliesThere's no shame in listening to criticism and adjusting. Though if they change it, they should have something in place for people who already upgraded. Luckily for you, this post is unnecessary. Bungie has well established their pigheadedness and insistence on staying the course.
-
10 RepliesPeople need to quit complaining. The game is just fine. The grind is what makes this game fun. And that is how MMO works. Don't like it leave.
-
1 ReplyI don't think bungie even read this or any other stuff from the players
-
3 RepliesBungie don't listen to this idiot.
