From the beginning Destiny was being promoted as this narrative epic, which turned out to be an absolute lie. They keep stuff out of the game so that they can use it as DLC later down the road so that you have to pay more for things that should have been in the game day one. The game is unbelievably repetitive as is already. Go into the raid to get raid gear. Keep doing that until you're a level 30. DLC is out, time to do the raid until you're a level 32 or whatever. Now Bungie has the gall to make certain aspects of the game unplayable unless you pay $20 more to play something that should have been in the game anyway? Bungie doesn't give a shit about you or me, or any "fan." They only care about making more money, even if it outcasts a bunch of players in the process. All of you fanboys are too brainwashed to realize it anyway, and even if they made the DLC $100 you'd still buy it because you see nothing wrong with anything they do. Ever since they cut ties with Microsoft and started working with Activision, they're slowly becoming worse and worse. Hodor.

Ever take a step back and imagine what this game could have been?

1 ReplyI don't like how they made raid gear obsolete after a couple of months when it took forever because the drops were terrible. They totally screwed up the non existent in game economy with the pre dark below changes. Really that's the best you could do. PvP is boring and the rewards are terrible. New vanguard weapons are trash. Not even worth buying any of them.

2 RepliesThe only thing more tiresome than playing the content over and over are these posts.

This game could have been so much better. But Bungie got lazy it seems. The gameplay itself is solid and awesome. The enemies are diverse, but the story sucks. I like the concept, but the game just ended. Poof. Over. And multiplayer? 3 game modes. Three. It honestly feels to me like a money grab. I hate to say it, but Bungie let me down.

4 RepliesNews flash. Bungie is a company. They are owned by a corporation. Both the company and the corporation are in business to make money. They did not make this or any other game to make people happy. And this next part may come as a shock to you, but no company that is in the business of making money is also in the business of making people happy. NONE OF THEM! That being said, why are you so offended that people still enjoy playing the game? And what about liking the game makes people "fanboi's"?

I'm wiser for the ware on their marketing tactics. The game is so chopped up and fed to us. It's like buying a pound of BBQ and only getting 3/4 of a pound and then charged again for the remaining 1/4.
-
1 ReplyFalse. It's the perfect price for what it gives If it was 100, 50, or even 21 dollars. I wouldn't buy this shit. It's fairly priced imo
-
Nope but I keep playing for some reason lol. Those bastards literally thrive on people's addictions like in that South Park episode about "freemium gaming"
-
A few more opened doors at the end of hallways we've been down hundreds of times, explained very vaguely with an uninspiring and soulless narrative. Ive accepted what this game is.

2 RepliesAs a long time Bungie fan I think that this is probably another Halo 2 scenario, where they let their ideas get too wild and they ran out of development time. But their deal with Activision prevented them from delaying the game. I don't think it was because they were greedy or malicious.

Here go cheese the bridge on crotas end. Maybe you'll get raid gear.

3 RepliesAll you cheapskates who dont have the dlc but whine about it anyway make me giggle
-
Nahhh not okay... their communication with the community is horrible. Why dint they gave non DLC players a warning 1st before releasing DLC. Instead just shove it up in there and said nope yoy cant play this week sorry but we gotta do it. I have the DLC but seeing stuff like this is just pure madness.

2 RepliesStfu all of you pussy ass whining bitchess man this getting really annoying

This topic again -_-

5 RepliesOH NO! A company is trying to make money? How dare they! Call the news, we must tell everyone a company is trying to make a profit. Most of what you said is subjective, although I do agree it is not a narrative epic, others may feel differently. Games change along the track of production, maybe you hyped it up too much in your head and am disapointed by what you got I like it, I enjoy playing it every night, the AI is great, the missions are repetitive yes, but not the game play as much at least, and I enjoy getting weapons and leveling them up. If you don't like it, you don't have to play
-
I'm not okay with it! Didn't buy the dlc
-
I'm having fun. I got $60 worth of fun from the game. I think the DLC is worth $20. So yeah, I'm good. I also did not pay any attention to Destiny before it's release. I was away from gaming, so I never saw a demo, never read a preview. As such, I don't have the "It wasn't what I hoped!!!" baggage. I was expecting a pretty FPS game in space. I got a pretty FPS game in space. For my 20 bucks of DLC I was expecting some window dressing. I got that. So yeah. I'm OK with Bungie.

2 RepliesIf you don't enjoy the game then maybe find a game that you do enjoy to play. Destiny is a grinding game, that is the appeal to it. If you don't like grinding games then Destiny might not be for you. As for the nightfall strike, players can still play that strike they were not locked out from that strike, It's just a lower level and in the strike playlists. I believe the issue is that people are upset they are missing out on the nightfall rewards.

Who says it has to be in the core game? They have a 10 year road map.. You honestly think they weren't working on dlc content along side the game? Just like they never said all their ambitions would be available right off the bat.. You assumed.. Many do.. We allow ourselves to believe impossible hype and every single game is a let down.. If you have realistic expectations and understand how business works then its not the disappointment some make it out to be.. Its actually pretty solid and has a ton of potential for future content and titles
-
Then sell the game and be done with it. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh Gimme all ur chatterwhite before you go tho.
-
In response to your question, yes I am.

9 RepliesI understand that some people may think the price is a bit high, but what I can't understand is this absurd sense of entitlement some of you have. If a company develops a product, be it a physical, tangible object like a video game console, a couch, a car, etc., or a piece of digital entertainment such as a movie or a video game, that company has the right, as well as the obligation as a company (whose goal, aside from creating content, is to make money...OH THE NERVE!! ;p) to charge for that product. What's wrong with supporting a company you love by purchasing the expansions to keep them going? At least they are not charging you monthly to keep playing! If you aren't enjoying the game to begin with then why are you complaining about the price of the expansion, something that you have no real reason to purchase anyway aside from prolonging your non-enjoyment of the game? I enjoy the game and, thus, have no problem supporting Bungie with a purchase of their product. If you are unsatisfied with the game...then move on, please. let us who do enjoy the experience play the game in peace.

Do know understand the concept of business because it seems like you don't? Perhaps take an intro to business course at your local community college :)

I remember when I said this during the beta and you all dismissed it as if it was nothing. Good times
