Locking away this weeks nightfall and weekly heroic strikes from people who don't own the dlc is bullshit. I love this game, and I'm planning on getting the dlc, but this is a joke.

2 RepliesI see a lot of people defending the lock out and saying that it should have been obvious that the nightfall would feature the new strike. Their arguments neglect that the PS exclusive strikes should also be in rotation by that same logic, and that the daily should have also been a DLC story mission. Xur should also sell exclusive exotics, but lock out Xbox. Inconsistency is rampant here.

2 RepliesIt is only one week
-
1 ReplyI cannot possibly agree more. I have a Feedback topic up regarding this.

3 RepliesThis whole new thing of taking away all my abilities at this point in time has really pissed me off I can't do my nightfall plus the xur vendor does not sell exotic engrams for motes of light anymore I can't even do lvl 28 story anymore I just made it to lvl 28 so this is so bull ( wanna give up on this game and get far cry 4 or something)

29 RepliesWhy should I have to pay extra to get something I already had? That was taken away. I understand having the DLC weekly, for those who have the DLC. Those who don't got a part of the game taken away this week. Bungie has said, and I quote "The weekly will be DLC periodically." To me that means it will be in rotation and we will be missing out on our weeklies not just this week but random weeks to come. What happens when they come out with the second DLC? Will people who have to spend their money on more important things be missing out on stuff they had already paid for because the second DLC was put into rotation for the nightfall? This upsets me greatly, most games have specific sections for DLC or non DLC. Why would you do something you know would upset half a player base? What did they expect to happen exactly?
-
1 ReplyDoesn't matter how little the dlc costs not everyone wanted to spend it just yet and I thought in one of the updates it specifically said if you don't get it no worries you're gaming can continue as normal with all the options you currently have. So one week only or in a rotation it doesn't matter some peoples activities were interrupted
-
1 ReplyI agree. I have the dlc and this pissed me off. What a joke
-
1 ReplyAs someone that purchased the DLC, I do not agree the Weekly events should ever be locked out to those who haven't purchased it. It should not be chosen randomly or rotated every week. It is an unnecessary strategy to bully people into buying DLC. The weekly/daily activities should have only gained a new set of activities for DLC owners, with simple tracking to not allow DLC owners to run 2 activities per week. Everyone who purchased the game, DLC or not, should have the ability to run weekly activities each week, not just every other week. Being that this is launch week for the new Xur/exotic items, Bungie has effectively locked out non-DLC owners from earning strange coins and removing their chance of good nightfall drops. This is wrong

1 ReplyIt's a Marketing ploy to force folks to buy the expansion. I guess it's working.
-
1 ReplyIt's literally forcing you to pay for content that you had access too in the first place... But they've quietly swept that under the rug and tried to cover there ass after the fact with a prompt for you to agree to the EULA.
-
Why can't we play fist of Crota again? I paid for dlc that contained three new story missions not 2 and a one off, dammit bungie you are screwing us again!!!
-
2 RepliesWhy. People complain the game needs content. It gets some. People want to play said content. Don't they need to reward the loyal fans?
-
That's the genius of it. You pretty much HAVE to own the season pass in order to do anything worth while. GG Boonjee
-
2 RepliesI have posted a suggestion here, something that will not affect DLC owners, nor give free content or higher rewards to non-DLC owners. http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/83610026/0/0

7 RepliesEdited by JD: 12/10/2014 5:00:28 PMIt's only for one week to go along with the new DLC and story line. This weeks nightfall is a DLC strike that comes with the dark below. If you don't have the DLC then sorry you don't have this weeks DLC nightfall strike. That is why you're locked away.
-
19 RepliesEdited by ridiculous99: 12/9/2014 11:42:55 PMYou haven't paid for the strike that is currently featured in the weekly nightfall. Next week when the nightfall isn't a strike from the DLC, your cheap-ass will be able to do your weekly strike again. Why do you think you should be able to play something you haven't paid for? You entitled little prick.
-
2 RepliesThis is exactly why I vowed to never buy any dlc before I get feedback on it. I don't trust these developers, not after battlefield premium. I'd advise you all to do the same from now on. Just saying
-
Its because this weeks nightfall and weekly are from the dlc duh lol next week it will be different

7 RepliesEdited by AzTeK ViRus: 12/10/2014 8:45:11 AMGuys it's not in rotation so don't worry about it its just live for this week. I repeat this week so don't -blam!-ing worry about seriously lets not all become assholes because it's nightfall and weekly this week if actually think about it if we bought the dlc we would want it to be night and not just other bullshit mission that stays the we did pay extra for it after all and just because you weren't willing to pay for it doesn't mean that those of us who did should suffer for it so dick move guys... dick move

93 RepliesThe dlc costs $20 dollars. Literally such a small amount of money. I'm tired of people whining and complaining, that's all these forums are used for.
-
2 RepliesThis pissed me off. Because I didn't but the Dlc they're TAKING AWAY content from the original game? Wtf is this bullshit! There is literally nothing for me to do other that crucible (which lags terribly for me) or the -blam!-ing raid over and over again.
-
2 RepliesIn every other game I've owned for my 360, the DLC was OPTIONAL. I can't recall having ever been cut off from some aspect of the game on the date of the first add-on release. Not to mention that the -blam!-in' 'DLC' (DownLoadable Content) was already included on the game's disc.. Even better still is that the next DLC that is scheduled to release at a future date, was found roughly a month ago, once again, on the game's -blam!-in' disc!!!!!! I've never been so outraged by a game purchase as I am with this one.. At first I placed sole blame on Activison, but after logging on today, I can't believe ANY employee of Bungie would knowingly have remained to see this bullshit sold to their community base. One of the most compelling advertising/selling points was: From the company that created Halo! That reputation was advertised, but I still haven't seen anything that implies "Bungie's reputation for Halo? Yeah Destiny has all that, and more!!!! Tell you what.. You guys develop my 63 dollars back into my hands, I'll send you my game disc and forget this whole tragic mess... good day
-
3 RepliesIt does suck. It seems shady, i hope they change it for you all before the next time it shows up in the cycle. That being said, its a business move to make people feel the NEED to get the dlc. Hopefully it's just this week, they need to realize they're taking away a part of the game you paid for. Good luck.
-
2 RepliesI was going to buy the DLC today after work, but after checking the forums and reading about the decisions bungie made, I decide against it. I don't agree with that decision. I think it was poorly though about and implemented, and I always talk with my wallet when I don't agree with something.

2 RepliesIts bulk I want to do nightfall
