Do Legendary Engrams still drop?
I haven't gotten a Legendary Engram from a mob since the patch, since then I have easily killed over a 10,000 since then.
Not a single Legendary Engram drop, so the question remains; do the mobs still drop Legendary engrams?
Or was the drop rate butchered so badly that it's 1 out of a 100k?

They do me and my friend played the night fall and everyone except me got a legendary engram

I see roughly one each week on average from just running dailies/strikes/farming mats.

Edited by Steveo340: 11/6/2014 3:50:13 PMI've seen two; one dropped by a low level mob i killed after my two team mates rushed past it in a tiger strike (it gave me the Invisible Hand shot gun) and the other last night, while patrolling on Venus, was dropped by a dreg. Decrypted into, wait for it, a fking dish rag that now hangs on my Titan's belt. I wiped my hands on it after I strangled that Rathoot bastard.

I have gotten 4 since the patch. Based on what I've heard I'm apparently very lucky

Yup, I have gotten 4 since patch, however all four all I have gotten are Shards. BUNCH OF BS.

They have been more frequent since the patch for me, but they have all been shards or energy!!

Incredibly rairly, I think I have had 3 legendary drops since the patch. And thats not including raiding.

I think I have seem 2 drop and 2 as rewards for tiger strike.... I'm with you, I have killed thousands... So I have 3 characters now that can solo nightfall... Best way to get gear buddy. Also VOG is a good bet.

I've gotten 3 since the patch that dropped from mobs but I get a lot from Tiger strikes and Daily missions. But I've never had legendary a engram turn to exotic...does anyone know the ratio for that or do I have to keep on praying to RNGesus.

They still drop, I've received at least three since the patch, got one for a class item yesterday.

I'd say they still drop, but I think I've only seen 1 legendary engram drop from the Cryptarch since the "fix". They made it so all the legendary engrams now turn into legendary things (usually shards or stuff for other classes) but absolutely butchered the drop rate for legendary engrams, even the Cryptarch level-up packages have fewer legendaries in them.

They sure do, but you need to get lucky. I had one drop from venus in a patrol. Turned into a void sniper! Also, blues can still turn legendary. I had a blue that dropped from a patrol turn into a solar sniper. This is all luck. I must've collected 7000 blue engrams for these 2 lucky chances to happen.

1 ReplyI've had a total of 2 legendary engrams drop (level 26 titan), and no blues have ever turned into purples for me. The 2 that did drop were pretty useless - one was a rag to tie around my titan's waist (presumably to warn other guardians that my fat arse is coming through?!), the other was for a different class. Also, to add insult to injury the couple of other legendary engrams I've got when ranking up the cryptard were also for a different class. The only legendary items I have that are useful/usable are purchased from the vanguard. It seems blue is my colour (which pees me off even more as I'm a gooner!).

Very very very rarely, I've played over 150 tiger strikes and I haven't had one drop for me.

Got one yesterday off the moon while patrolling.

i hadn't seen one drop since the cryptarch patch. had pretty much given up hope. then i had a purple jellybean drop yesterday running patrol missions on earth. from a random Dreg, no less. turned into Proxima Centauri scout rifle.

Yep Got two while faffing around on Mars a week ago and got one from a Dreg on a Tiger Strike.. Which happened to turn into The Last Word :D

I haven't found a Legendary Engram in over a week, then just found one today. Turned into 2 shards. I've never had a Legendary Engram actually turn into a weapon or piece of armor yet. Always mats. Considering how rare they seem to be these days, it's always a let down.

I still get a purple drop now and then but its like a 2 a week at most.

Do the daily on 28. I normally get a legendary from that. I got two to drop last week during the nightfall.
