Do Legendary Engrams still drop?
I haven't gotten a Legendary Engram from a mob since the patch, since then I have easily killed over a 10,000 since then.
Not a single Legendary Engram drop, so the question remains; do the mobs still drop Legendary engrams?
Or was the drop rate butchered so badly that it's 1 out of a 100k?

Legendaries do drop! I just got one very recently from an axis minotaur. the problem is that it turned into f****** shards.....

1 ReplyAbout a week ago I was doing a daily at level 28 and had 2 legendary drops within seconds of one another. Also a friend and I leveled the cryptarch at the same time and both got legendary items, which only happens once in a while anymore. Both were playing warlock so I think it might be (as described in other threads) some very complex rng involving class, subclass, race, inventory, level, time, and/or some other parameters. I'd almost bet there's a way to "cheese" rng

1 ReplyI got one, today actually, while running my bounties. I was all liek "zomg" and it was all like "lol I'm purple" and then it trolled me hard. It pulled a VoG and was nothing but shards.

I've gotten one since update. Which isn't that big of a deal to me. My problem is the crytarch level. From level 18 to now level 32 I have yet to receive another legendary engram. Kinda frustrated about that one

Yeah they still drop them. Just at a much lower rate compared to pre cryptarch patch which was already ridiculously low drop rate.

I got a legendary drop from a dreg on patrol earlier so it does still happen just rarely... turned into shards btw

I've gotten them from rewards for dailies, I haven't seen one drop yet. I have gotten 2-3 legendaries out of rare engrams this past week though. While I have no proof, they might be weighting the rolls a bit to help us gear up before the DLC.

I haven't received a single legendary engram outside of the Nightfall/Daily/Weekly rewards since the patch. Honestly I don't really care anymore, I'm over it. However I do feel bad for people just starting the game.

Edited by pj3699: 11/7/2014 2:28:35 AMI find it a lil bit more common for legendaries to drop on Venus in patrol while doing bounties involving Venus. I've gotten 1 last week and one this week (this week i got the Doctor Nope :D). You can either do that, or farm around that fallen xp farm area (left of spawn on Venus). That's where i've recently been getting my engrams, and i find it to be pure dumb luck because the engrams actually are a weapon if it's a weapon engram or an armor piece if it's a armor engram, very rarely do i get ascendant energy or shards.. I now believe Venus is my "good luck charm" farm there for maybe 2 hours, while doing some scavenge and kill missions (nothing else, unless that's all there is.) This is my opinion and my experience, you can try other planets if you'd like or just do strike missions, totally up to you. But i'd recommend running Venus for a few hours first. Oh and do daily every day, i got a legendary weapon engram and 2 accendant energy from the rewards today :3.
