I really wish this ridiculous mentality would stop. Every new game, especially shooters; the morons flock to the forums ranting on about how they were just killed by something and therefore it's overpowered.
What ever happened to gamers adapting to the game before crying about something?
I honestly think that now a days, the idiots that play games want every single weapon in the game to perform exactly the same and the only difference is how they look.

Even in games that have no competition like Mass Effect 3 get douches like that. Oh no...Destiny and its awesome weapons in MM. Oh the whiners!

Edited by Prototape: 8/12/2013 8:36:56 AMI tend to feel the same way. I play the game, and I enjoy it, that's really it. Sure, some weapons can be a little annoying, but it has a lot to do with who's using them most of the time. Even if the weapons are nerfed, the person using it is still a decent player. Are we going to start nerfing players as well? I dunno, sometimes I miss the days where weapons were completely unbalanced on purpose. That chaotic multiplayer experience was always the most fun, now people are getting way too analytical. That can be good in some respects, slightly annoying in others. As someone else mentioned in this topic, in some of the newer games out there, I don't feel like there's much difference between any of the guns. They all function relatively the same way, aside from whether it's semi-auto, full auto, or burst. As well as what attachments it has, but when it comes down to firing it, I don't get that "hell yeah, I love this gun" feeling anymore.

1 ReplyUSAS Frags. That was legitimately overpowered. The M16A3 isn't, despite the constant rants. I loathe that gun, because anyone and their grandma can put up a decent score with it. But in a straight fight, they don't last 2 seconds against my AN-94. I'm fast enough with it to match AEKers, and much more accurate.

2 RepliesYou don't adapt. You die.

If its beatable its not over powered. I really wish this ridiculous mentality would stop.

Well, it's better than what it used to be, which is "If it killed me, haxorz."

6 RepliesEdited by ZealotSG: 8/12/2013 3:40:07 AMSticky Detonator - absurd explosion range Needler (specifically Halo 2 and Halo 4) - instant detonation, no time to react. Immense tracking Knight Commander - IC spam, enough said. They have a fast cooldown time... Watcher - deployed in massive numbers, you either need a turret or lots of ammo nearby Knight Battlewagon - teleporting behind players + Scattershot Brute Chieftain (Halo 3) - their armor is extremely cheap, forcing you to attune to the extremely simple + repetetive play style of dodging it's melee for a backsmack Rocket Launching Flood (Halo 1) - deployed in massive numbers, it was madness

4 RepliesMy problem is when vocal minorities bitch about something people OP and it actually gets nerfed when there was nothing wrong with it. That being said Quickscoping is way way op
-
4 RepliesWhoever designed the Famas in Black Ops 1 is an assbag fecal -blam!-er shit shaped anus brain that deserves to be castrated and stoned alive by village people.

No, no, no. This is true. For example, Remington shotguns in Black Ops II kills in one shot often times therefore it is overpowered. Sure it's got short range, but who cares!? It's overpowered! Also, the KSG is overpowered! But it is inaccurate. Still overpowered. If anything kills in one hit ever, it's overpowered. End of.

Edited by Wonderbread: 8/12/2013 1:49:35 AMSo wait, say a weapon is generally stronger than it should be like the Halo 4 Boltshot at launch. Shouldn't we let the developer know that said weapon is making other weapons in the sandbox invalid? Or would that "ruin the game."

1 ReplyDude idk if u played swtor but THAT WAS RIDICULOUS FORUMS
-
3 RepliesBe honest though, the Boltshot in Halo 4? That's one overpowered mother-blam!-er.

Edited by Gaara444: 8/11/2013 11:27:07 PMI agree with OP to a point. In StarCraft 2, all the Zerg babies will bend over backwards and go through Hell trying to make the Swarm Hosts look like an underpowered unit. Fun Fact: At the pro level, I have only seen one game where a Zerg lost when they had Swarm Hosts. Every other game the Zerg could be on the verge of losing and then pull a victory out of their ass with Swarm Hosts. But trying taking that to the Battle.net forums, you'll just be flocked by Zerg Babies crying about if Swarm Hosts get nerfed they should nerf Hellbats despite the fact Hellbats have already been nerfed cause of all their bitching.

1 ReplyBitches be hating on my noob tube.

It's like the armor lock in Reach... (Video related)

Protection Paladins are overpowered. I hate them. But in FPS games... that's just an excuse. Why wouldn't you use a powerful weapon? So that you can prove yourself to someone you don't even know?
-
Remember the grenade complaints from the Reach beta?

The sawn off in Max Payne 3 is OP, so is Zeus in God of War: Ascension MP.

Games nowadays are overly casual made. Everything is so easy, they basically hold your hands the whole way.

3 RepliesI don't know why I hang out with one of my friends on Xbox. Whenever we play zombies or battlefield, or whatever, when he dies, he will either say it was lag, or in zombies, he will rage quit.

That bloody gunship thing from black ops was overpowered. I spawned in plain sight for the guy's aim everytime 1 game you know what is overpowered. any decent player on nuketown.

3 RepliesWhat if something legitamently is OP though
Artillery in WoT
12 RepliesI hate the word adapt. >Goes down hall way. >Sees person sprint down the hall way stick me and flies away on jet pack spraying the AR. >Dies >Talks about how this sucks. >Only response I get is "LOL ADAPT!!!"

2 RepliesYou claim to think that you're above the "retards" in gaming communities and yet here you are complaining about things that don't matter.

But what if something actually is overpowered?
