I have a quote from admin JOSePh4 from the Facebook page "Spartan 117". I completely agree with this.
"I am so sick of all of these Halo 4 haters. Yes, I understand there are problems with Halo 4 (some have been fixed), but there were many problems with ALL of the Halo games! Halo CE lacking online play, repetitive level designs, clunky physics even for that time period in gaming. Halo 2, "bad" cliffhanger ending(I actually liked it), huge imbalance in weapons such as BR, mess of texture pop ins(especially in cutscenes). Halo 3, underwhelming graphics(not counting water) Repetitive campaign design, (short too). Halo Reach, bland forge pallet, "bad" multiplayer maps, unbalanced armor abilities, "boring/dry" campaign, weapon bloom, Kat's Driving skills... And you know what?! Regardless of these issues, we still played, forged, and filmed, and loved the games regardless of their problems. Even when things changed...Why can't we do the same with Halo 4, People like to say"oh its a TERRIBLE game...blah blah blah, its boring etc. Etc. You people don't know terrible. And I just feel sorry for you, missing out on such a fun experience and amazing community... This is our last Halo on Xbox 360! Let's all enjoy this amazing game! Because no matter how bad you think it is, it could always get worse. It's not that I'm praising 343's mistakes, or even Bungie's. It's just that you people with super high standards need to understand that nothing is perfect. Especially not Bungie's work, and definately not 343's, but that is no reason to completely disregard all that is good about the games! Sorry for this rant...haha. I just love Halo too much to allow haters to call Halo 4 a bad game.

You haters have no room to speak unless you hate Halo as a whole.

Yeah, we don't need those, but let's keep making maps that would be perfectly designed for them! In the meantime to keep people annoyed, we might as well remove Campaign Theatre and popular Custom Game Options because, haha, nobody ever uses those, right? Being able to customize the Flood gametype? Hahahahahaha why would we ever want to let you do that? Oh, Forge? Yeah, we can remove some of the popular tools of the past few games because we all know that Forgers want those features gone. Now that this is all out of the way, why don't you buy our DLC packs that you will rarely see in Matchmaking and enjoy the "Classic" playlist that took us eight months to put out - meanwhile, we can throw two tournaments that are clearly extremely popular. Are you happy now? I'm so glad we have addressed the changes that you people wanted and now you can buy some more stances for your Spartan"
Meanwhile, the Halo Reach Population, a game that many say is so bad, has more than half the population that Halo 4 has.
You act like you're entitled to having an emotionally mature discussion when you can barely tolerate people expressing sincere and calm displeasure with the direction that 343i and other affiliated developers are taking with a game that obviously holds a lot of emotional investment with a lot of people. Real talk, if you want "mature" discussion, stop being a little baby about people having different opinions from yourself.

You haters have no room to speak unless you hate Halo as a whole.
Erm, what? All the Halos have had problems, and people have criticized every Halo. So we shouldn't be criticizing Halo 4 because...?
You haters have no room to speak unless you hate Halo as a whole.
I believe I went over this in the other thread.

13 RepliesHalo was once a different game from generic shooters like CoD and BF, but now 343i is making it CoD with aliens.
-
16 RepliesThey took steps back and tried to assimilate gameplay to draw in more consumers, when in reality it drove away long-time fans. If a game does that, then you know something's wrong.

My problem isn't with the game but 343 itself. The ability for Halo 4 to be a great game is in the eingine. 343 despite the pleas of its fans failed to allow us our normal game types for which Halo provided for almost DECADE. Like normal slayer, 2v2, BTB objective, assault, etc. I defended the game for its first month because it was unfathomable that 343 with its weekly updates wouldn't add normal playlists after some time. Nearly three months pass before they recognize it after a whole month of freaking silence! 343i is trying to correct their mistake but it will fail unless they change their philosophy. I will rent Halo 5 instead of buying it for the first time. If they correct their mistakes then I won't complain anymore. But it'll be hard to play consistently if the disenfranchised of my friends (all of them) never come back. Oh well, there is Titanfall and Destiny. I will be happy.

2 Repliesso since its the last new halo coming out on 360 we must love it? uhh no we don't.

Aside from the fact that Halo 4 has tons of problems, it still has a shit campaign that has less than 5 hours of gameplay on Normal(About as much a CoD campaign LOL) and has about as much story as a Michael Bay movie, then it has a shallow multiplayer. Halo 4 is a bad game in general not just because it's not true to the Halo series.

And we're supposed to care what this random nobody says? Why should I give a damn what this guy says about anything? I cannot express how few -blam!-s I give about this. Posting this was pointless, it's not going to change anything, and it only confirms how much of a blind and demented fanboy you are.

Edited by lVlzone: 8/11/2013 3:26:00 AMThe reason why I think that Halo 4 is not a good game (at least multiplayer wise) is in the core gameplay. A game shouldn't be judged by its name, graphics, or the time period that it takes place in. A game from the same genre as the rest of the series should carry over the core fundamentals that its predecessors had implemented (Why do you think CoD continues to sell? Because those the like it know what it will be like). 343 went and drastically changed the core gameplay from the rest of the series (As Bungie started to do with Reach). They decided to adapt the Halo series by adding features similar to those of other modern, successful franchises. Some of those features are things like: - Create a Class - The removal of descoping - AA - Ordinance drops (AKA, killstreaks) - Sprint (and slower base speeds because of it) - Revamping Capture the Flag and Oddball They took the core gameplay of the Halo series and rebuilt it. That, along with smaller things like map and weapon imbalances, the removal of fan-favorite gametypes, and the join-in-progress feature really have people questioning the path that 343 has taken. And I won't even start with the other game modes.

Some faith in humanity is restored!!! Thank you for posting this. I agree with it completely

1 ReplyThe content Halo 4 has is executed decently. But Halo 4 is lacking content overall. It's not terrible, but certainly a step down from it's predecessors.
-
27 RepliesHalo 4 has far more problems than the others though.

28 RepliesHalo 4 sux

12 RepliesDude, get over it. Some people don't like Halo 4 (I like it), I don't really understand why you can't accept that.
-
I think halo 4 was an embarrassment. I'm not alone. Deal with it.
