So uhh, we'll (XBox) probably get the DLC a month in advance, I mean look at CoD as an example. See how inherently flawed that logic is?

4 Repliesbungie began real work on this back when they were still with microsoft, right? why do you think its being made for ps? i think its probably useing the 360 as a base personally.

2 RepliesIf Bungie only creates games for Playstation I think that is wonderful, its about time that there is equality between the 2 systems, and also Bungie is finally bringing games to Playstation for the first time and its almost time for next-gen consoles, to me it has been completely unfair up until this point. (My own opinion)

There are so many things wrong with this post. Activision is nothing more than a publisher. They are doing nothing more than disturbing the game (putting is on the store shelves and making back the money it took to put it there). You went on this tangent about how you’re scared about Bungie moving towards Playstation exclusivity when Bungie has said nothing even close to that. Anyone how is selling a product and has a fan base or community isn't going to turn their backs on them to go and try to sell their product to an entirely new community. Bungie isn't going to bite the hand that has been feeding it (the xbox community) for years. Bungie didn't have the rights to Halo and I doubt very highly that they are going to sign away the rights to Destiny. Bungie has a team of very smart people and I'm willing to bet that when they signed on with Activision they told them we are going to make our games and keep everything from the first idea to the last idea we create, all you do is make sure the masses can get it. Activision has too much money and not enough craps to care about making Destiny an exclusive game. Activision also knows that in order to make more money they have to appeal to where the money is. Last time I checked Activision put all of their games on everything from the Wii U to the PC. The reason Sony has exclusivity to dlc content in my opinion is for the same reasons everyone else has given even the mod "DeeJ" they want to Borden their horizons and expand to another console. Playstation has not even had a bungie game on their system in how long? I can't even remember. Playstation came up the dlc deal because Bungie isn't restricted to microsoft anymore and Sony wants a piece of the action for their release of the new system. Also halo wouldn’t have been exclusive to Xbox if Bungie had owned the rights to Halo. It would have been on Xbox and Playstation along with PC. I know that change is scary, but you’re just going to have to deal. The first step is acceptance.

4 RepliesYou should ask the people at destiny.bungie.org how they felt when Bungie stopped developing for the Mac, and made a deal with (gasp) Microsoft. This is not the first time Bungie fans have seen us "diversify" our partnerships. Fortunately for you, we're not walking away from the Xbox. We're just welcoming new players to the City.

SO much wrong with the OP's post.

2 RepliesEdited by rajen: 3/8/2013 10:24:12 PMWhy do xbox fans scream like they deserve bungie all to themselves. You didn't see playstation fans go all out like we want halo so give it to us. I agree with what DarkestSeptagon said as well

All I'm hearing is the same myopic speculation and absurd fretting of every clueless gamer who found out about the Bungie-ActiBlizzard contract.
-
1 ReplyI was excited when I learned Bungie was splitting from Microsoft and were working on something not Halo.
-
The only reason the Bungie developed Halo exclusively because it pulled more money Microsoft's way by promoting the xbox over the Playstation. Activision has no problems with this. They could care less which console you own as long as you buy their games. Also I wouldn't be surprised if there was exclusive content for the xbox 720 when it is finally announced.
-
I think with the way they value their independence, as well as their desire to grow a massive community, Bungie would never want to go back to developing exclusively for one platform. As far as the Activision side goes, they would never pass up the chance to turn more profit. Going exclusive would lower their profit. If Activision ever did that, I think I'd have to let them know that the village called and wants its collective idiots back.
-
Activision has nothing to gain from making it a playstation exclusive. Call of duty isn't exclusive to anything and gets nothing extra on either system, I don't see why this would. I don't really think bungie's separation from microsoft is going to make any difference in the quality of their games.

Bungie doesn't pick favorites. We'll all get delt our helping of asskicking evenly.

1 ReplyHow does playstation folks getting something exclusive alienate anyone from the xbox? I remember games like soul calibur that would have entirely seperate characters based on what console you bought it on, each got something special. Saying they get something exclusive doesn't imply that we don't as well, nor does it imply that even if it was only the playstation getting something exclusive, somehow them getting a special cape for their player (or whatever) makes everyone suddenly not want to buy it for the xbox.
-
2 Replies1. Playstation is getting exclusive content so Playstation users will be interested because they've never played a Bungie game. Xbox will probably have exclusive content too. 2. Halo was not the very first game to be released for Xbox. 3. Bungie was already on the 'gaming map' before Halo. 4. Activision is a publisher, they do not make Call of Duty. Treyarch and Infinity Ward make it. All Activision is doing is publishing Bungie's games, it's no different than what Bungie had with Microsoft. 5. Destiny is not 'shifting' towards Playstation exclusivity, I don't even know where you got that idea from.

7 RepliesApparently there will be ADS in destiny. To say the least, this worries me.
-
2 RepliesI know that feel because I felt just the same when Capcom's Monster Hunter shifted to Nintendo :'( I have never had an XBox or XBox 360 because I played Nintendo and PlayStation since I was a child and I now regret not playing Halo :< But anyway you'll see how Bungie will not be sold to PS!
-
1 ReplyYeah, I wouldn't worry too much, OP. It'll be ok. I am kind of worried about Activision, but Bungie knows where their fans are. They won't leave us in the dark. ;)
-
1 ReplyI wouldn't worry about it. PS and Xbox are likely to be strong competitors far into the future, and third-party publishers and game developers have no desire to approach exclusivity with only one platform, no matter how much that platform might desire it. If you were a game dev/publisher, wouldn't you want your game in the hands of as many players as technically and practically possible?
