Doesn't have the signs of a bad connection though (normal play with jumping back).

That's how the exotics work - you know the boon that they give you is not listed on the items stats, nor the stackable ones, and so on. So not only there are individual instances of each items in each player inventory, there are literally hidden (for the players) stat modifiers that are in the server's database for each of those items. The same way an exotic may be supposed to give you an e.g. +15 of some stat, the same way that field on the items you have can be set to "oh, would be a shame something happened, enjoy your -30". You ain't going to see it in stats, not your stats, not when looking at someone else's stats.
