Update!!!!!!! I got the clear and the exotic!!!! I did get help as well to finish this off. Thank You everyone that played a part in ensuring I get the resources needed to do this!!!!!! There is still a lot to learn on this one but it was so much fun!!! I do not understand why people hate this one. To each their own. I am going to run this until I can do this effortlessly. I am still learning. Thank You all again those of you who were so supportive! Thank You!
I have tried for the past 3 months looking for a group to run Salvation's Edge. From multiple Discord Servers, and LFG in game where you are booted or people leave. I do not want to be hindered by other players. I cannot progress in the game as I need 5 other people to even complete the encounter. This is a huge blocker. Is it meant to be one? Have the Raids adjust to player count as a consideration. If I can do more in the game this will increase play time!!!!!!!!!!!!
Update: So there is no longer any confusion on this post. I got help from two of the members here posting on how to move forward doing this solo. I am working on this now! Before you comment on this post read below if you decide to get an understanding. Your experience in game is not the same though you would like for it to be or think it should be. I am trying to complete a raid. I have the Final CP and at this current time I am doing damage to the witness solo. Yes, I have asked. So far the answers have been straight out no, I do not have access to the raid, I hate the raid good luck finding someone to run with you. These are just some of the answers I have gotten. I am still looking for people to run this with. And if you say I have not tried hard enough or long enough to find people to run it with. There are more than 6 people in this post here. Let's arrange to get it done. I do not know the Raid so I am learning. I see this community becoming more isolated. I not only understand but I am experiencing why there are more solo players in Destiny. I truly understand why. When we do not get the help that you are looking for, you then run it by yourself. When I learn and complete the final encounter. I am going to share and teach as many people as I possibly can. I am going to help! I am going to beat the last encounter for this raid one way or the other.

Solo raids are called dungeons. Those can be solo'd. You're not soloing a raid unless you're an absolutely cracked gamer with all the details of an encounter memorized.

3 RepliesEdited by S I L E N C E: 11/10/2024 7:42:25 PMAs fun as it was to solo crota's end back in D1.... You won't find any responses that will take this post seriously, unless this is meant to be satire then in which case well done. Raids are meant to be 6 man activities, or with a solid group of 3-5 man at best. It requires teamwork, coordination, and strategy (Proper builds/ setups). Salvation's Edge...Nobody is doing this raid. Hardly anybody now. The raiding scene is not great, but this raid specifically is too hard to teach people that aren't familiar with multi-tasking & coordination. And this raid specifically asks A LOT out of people. I have to pull out my laptop for 3rd, 4th, & sometimes 5th encounter. Just for the map / callouts / or what shape to shoot So a lot of people aren't going to be doing this raid with randoms because of all that. It's more effort than the average Destiny Player is willing to put up with. Which is why this raid is pretty much only for those with solid, premade group of friends/raid buddies. Verity encounter can easily attest to that.

4 RepliesThere's no way you just made this post and meant it. That would literally defeat the entire purpose of what a raid is. It would just become a normal mission. The purpose of raids is to have endgame players put all of their skills to the test and learn new mechanics that require multiple people to coordinate together, all while surviving aggressive levels of enemies within an enemy stronghold. What you're asking for is absolute nonsense

Edited by The-IIID-Emp1r3: 11/13/2024 5:29:35 PMGood luck trying to get it done, that raids old news.. majority of the player pool have stopped doing it (all gear, guns, exotic) and honestly it isn't the best bungo ever made so Why are you even trying to solo this, just lfg it , join one and tell them you'll clear out enemies, sure less people care about this raid but theres no way you can't find anyone doing the witness encounter
-
Sounds like the solo dungeon experience is what you’re looking for

Edited by Yoshi32123: 11/13/2024 4:44:46 PMYou aren’t going to get it solo if you only recently started playing… However kudos to taking the time to figure out the mechanics. This will be a huge help when joining a group. I’d use the #salvationsedge or #findasherpa in this discord to get your clear! https://discord.gg/d2lfg Good luck!

Edited by SuperKingzach12: 11/11/2024 7:11:58 PMRaids aren’t ment for solo players it’s been that way for 10 years now you think bungie is just going to make solo raids I don’t think so

10 RepliesMuch of the game discriminates against soloplaying for literally no good reason - for players that is - simply to cash in on shoving every player to push any friends into playing/buying Destiny. The irony is this creates and encourages a kind of player snobbery from those deliberately priveleged into a loot-rich, easy mode against those being treat like crap. Raids, arguably, at least have a logic of being 6-man or so mechanic driven. There should, however, be some acknowledgment that this isnt for everyone - Raids have the lowest completion and activity rates of all - with **sizeable and suitable** alternatives available for everyone to get the exotics another way.
-
They put raid mechanics into the final shape campaign and solo players cried about it Only people who raid/dungeons would play this and then the solo players would cry that it is too hard
-
You're trying to solo kill the final boss? Sorry dude but I don't think that's even possible atm. If you're just trying to learn how to break the glyphs before you lfg it then that should work. It looks like people already introduced you to checkpoint bot. Be careful what you title your posts. This title gives off serious troll, but it looks like you're just new, so no big deal. If you ever decide to look for a team again add me and I'll help you.

The closest thing to a “solo raid” are solo dungeon runs
-
I think making some kind of raid for solo players could be interesting and unique and possibly be a way to get around raid completion requirements for some bounties and guardian ranks without needing a full 6 man squad. Id be okay with it as long they made it extra challenging
-
2 RepliesGood day Guardian! You have other raid clears, so you understand the requirements necessary for raid completions. It seems that Salvation's Edge is giving you trouble, and that's why you're advocating for solo raids, not because the raid is hard, per se, but because you're experiencing difficulties finding a team. In regards to your post, I disagree that the raids need to be altered to accommodate solo players.

3 RepliesI’m lost, how is salvations hindering your progress in the game? If you mean guardian ranks, then you have to do a full completion much like crotas end which requires all 5 encounters not just final. Good luck soloing 2nd and 4th encounter. Guardian ranks do not stop your progress. Is your clan not able to do it? You got 94 people in there and none of them can raid? I use to exclusively use discord and Xbox lfg to find groups and it is not that hard to get a group for raids or anything else. And just because you cannot do it doesn’t mean it needs to be changed or made easier for you.
-
6 RepliesHate to burst your bubble but if your solution to not having a group is to try solo witness then I’m going to give you a reality check. Getting to damage is not the hard part. Heck I don’t even know if it’s possible anymore in the current sandbox

2 RepliesRaid for solos is simply a strike

1 ReplyEdited by ReverentCoast: 11/10/2024 10:43:26 PMHippo thank you!!! Still new to the game only about 4 months in. I got the mechanics down to break the glyphs and need to do it faster to start damage. I will work on this. Thank you for providing a solution rather than being toxic. I will keep trying until I complete this task. Again Thank You! To the others. A word of advice. Rather than speak down or poorly of others. Seek to get an understanding of what they are trying to accomplish. A simple hey Reverent use the CP bots to grab the witness checkpoint and use the video as a learning guide to help understand the mechanics. That mindset builds the community and invites people to stay thus possibly increasing the player base. The Destiny community some of you have this God like mindset of if you do not know then that is your problem. Only some are willing to share. And that is it. Share what you know. No I did not know about CP bots. I now know. And that is the key thing. So far I broke two buttons in the time Hippo shared the info. If the community was like Hippo it would be even greater. I am not looking for a pass. I love the challenge. The community really needs to stop beating new players down. I will get this. Just like I solo the Master Nightfall. I will get this.

2 RepliesIm stuck at guardian rank 8 because of this stupid requirement, salvation edge completion should have be a rank 11 requirement.
-
1 ReplyNah, what we really need is 6 man master patrol.
-
5 Replies3 months 3 attempts for 30 minutes or less. That is not trying my friend 😒 you really need to get a group watch a video for mechanics and actually try.
-
Find chill helpful clan it's much easier learning new raids and dungeons that way.
-
1 ReplyNaw... Just grab a checkpoint and do it solo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuefdObiklo&t=2s

easy to do with bots.. they activate during mechanics or auto-complete difficulty options.. reduce score.. reduce reward why not who cares.. why does anyone not like it.. the game should have matchmaking/solo/freelance across the board.. I am certain "the company" looking back on their shenanigans.. will say duh.. we reduced our customer potential for no reason.. some people play this way.. some that way.. some all ways.. you efficiently code things (before anyone goes do you realize how much work that is) when you have the right philosophy and guidance from management > its called vision.. yeah D2 overall was successful but it stumbled greatly along the way edit > here is what I think of the replies against this... "dude the mechanics ARE the raids.. I have tears of joy when I think about how we coordinated standing on plates or holding this thing and then busted out insane DPS... it was so beautiful.. I remember my first time dude (gets tissue).. it was.. such a beautiful mechanic... tossing orbs to each other.. it completes me" -
Dungeons are mini raids for solo players.
