Same guy trolling in competitive
How can it be that if i report and block player that keeps trolling in COMPETITIVE it still gives him into my team next game? For 6 games i have had this same trolling ruskin man that keeps jumping off the map losing all our lives or just AFK and dosn't do enything? What is the use of Block buttom if it still gives you that same team mate? Many hours wasted cause of this thx bungie

1 ReplyBlock only stops messages. If block made it so that you never had to play with or against a certain person, you would block all the good players, and only play against the weak ones. That being said, player base is small and diminishing, which doesn’t help. I’d say don’t load into a match directly after the prior one. Give it a minute or two. Chances are he/she will be in a new match, and you will get loaded into a separate one.

Sorry that you're getting saddled with an idiot, but blocking someone doesn't work like you think as it only blocks communications from that player and has nothing to do with preventing them from matching up with you in-game. Your best bet to prevent situations like this is to form your own team where you have complete control over who joins you.

Unfortunately, and it's super unfortunate as I know it well, the only solution is to stop playing comp if that idiot is on your team a second or third time. Learned that lesson years ago lmao

The block button stops the person from contacting you, sending you game invites etc. Neither blocks them from being matched with you online. If the block button stopped players from matching each other, it would be used and abused in pvp.

2 RepliesIf only blocking people would stop you matching with them. This would be an awesome addition to the game, then I could block EVERYONE and play Trials/Gambit/comp/PvE, everything solo. Would be a much better game.

Because people would exploit this and simply block all the good players so you just don’t match them again. Common sense.

Blocking a player does not prevent matching with them. Sorry but such a thing was never implemented. While i get that would be yet another hurdle for finding players in matches, sometimes it would be nice to just not have to deal with said user any longer.

4 RepliesThere's no way the game gave you that for 6 matches without you doing anything to get it given to you. Unless there's only 10 people playing comp at this point.

The Block function only prevents you from receiving messages from that player, it does not prevent you from matching with them on either team. Your best option is to report them, which should hopefully alert Bungie to their behavior once their understaffed security team can review it.

Because the MM is being throttled. With a Low population, theres a 89.9% chance it will keep matching you with the same people. Happened to me in Trials a couple years ago. It was during the Solo's Time. I was bored, and didnt want to wait for me clan to get on so i jumped in. Games 3-7 were the same 5 People, and out of all of them, Finale game i was the only one who went Flawless. Broke 5 Cards that day. The MM kept of Flip flopping us on each other's teams. Unfortunately i knew all their Playstyles so..it wasn't even that hard.
