Unless you have the freedom to write your own tags and messages (I.e. Sherpa run, teaching, KWTD etc), do not replace the current fireteams with the Fireteam Finder as it currently exists in game.
Fireteam finder is barely fit for purpose as it is. Replacing the current “Fireteams” on the App with Fireteam Finder would be a massive step backwards.
Now I know that’s kinda your thing Bungie (2 steps forward, 3 steps back), but just for once don’t make a feature that works well worse.
Edit. How does this post get dropped down so quickly? It’s like Bungie want it to disappear 🫠.
I wonder why? 🤔
2 RepliesIn theory, there enough tags on there to make it work, but what about all the other cases. For example, if we are starting a raid at a certain encounter, how would you be able to let people know. We should always be allowed to make our own titles, it limits the amount of things that you can use it for. If i can’t make my own titles, i’m gonna have to start using other places for most of my fireteam finding needs.

2 RepliesImagine thinking people read tags or titles on LFG posts...
-
If you can still do custom titles then I don’t think it will be a problem
-
5 RepliesAs long as you can WRITE OUT a CUSTOM title, I don’t mind at all. There’s gonna be so much backlash if they don’t include this lol.
-
Ehhn creature's of habit, the whole lot of you. I agree it would be proper to be able to write in a custom line, but that's it. Otherwise, the in-game fireteam finder has been way better in literally every way. But I'll leave it to yall to mindlessly complain about everything.
-
6 RepliesI’ll be ok with it if it cuts the carry site\streamers spamming carry ads.
-
The few times I have tried to use it I struggle to ready up. The descriptions are lacking. Hate I can't just shop for something interesting looking. And I like to cross check people in the lfg page. Basically the lfg page is better in every way.
-
I agree. It works just fine as is. If they go messing with it you just know they’ll screw it up. And probably for weeks if not months. Leave it be!
-
3 RepliesMy main problem with fireteam finder is that I can't just general browse for random teams to join. I have to look for groups in specific activities. Sometimes I'm not trying to do anything in particular and just waiting for something to catch my fancy, and you can't do that with fireteam finder.
-
2 RepliesDid they mention this somewhere? Pretty sure there’s no plans to remove the app’s lfg feature
-
I rather use what Bungie has on the app than whats in game. In game is trash compared to the app.
-
1 ReplyHonestly, they should replace Fireteam Finder with Fireteams from the app instead...
-
2 RepliesI prefer the app since I can invite someone to my party without having everyone else ready up. I’ve lost players due to them waiting to long to join because a player is having a hard time readying up
-
I find that the app lfg attracts alot higher caliber of players compared to the Xbox lfg or the fireteam finder. It's better for things like master raid triumphs
-
I completely agree, fireteam finder is super incomplete. If they do that downgrade to the app, it is just another nail in the coffin
-
This . The app still feels like the ogs are there and get a decent fireteam with minimal hassle. Integrating the masses will only make it a worse experience
-
I agree with you, we should be able to write our own title. Replacing the one on App with the one in Game will be 1 step fwd and 5 step back. But you know the in game Vault management in D1 is way superior compare D2! So 1 step fwd and 5 step back is not new to Bungie
-
So, we're in 2024 and they can't get fireteam finder right. How ridiculous
-
2 RepliesBungie: If we can fu&$ it up, we will. Marathon is all that matters at this point.
-
For real.
-
2 RepliesI used the in-game fireteam finder once and then I immediately went right back to using the app lol.
-
I like my app fireteams.
-
I would like them to put in an update routine that would refresh the listing every five to ten seconds. It would also be nice if teams with members pending would gray out until the pending players either get accepted or not.
-
They just let the fireteam finder dev go, bumgie are dirty man. Took him 2 years, finally get it up & running, setup for the app behind the scenes then seeya
