It has been one work week worth of time since I have submitted the ticket and am quite disappointed with how long it has taken for a response since the support ticket says 1-2 work days. Does anyone have any tips for getting a response from the support staff.

If this is for a ban appeal, then you aren't guaranteed a response from them and they'll typically only reply if they need more information or they have overturned it
