The catalyst feels lacklustre and the 200 precision kills is a steep curve for not a lot of extra utility.
Even at a base level MIDA doesn’t feel like it used to, and I think it’s because it’s been left behind, MIDA is a pure PvP weapon, none of its perks or playstyles are intended for PvE as far as I can tell. So why does it get outgunned by DMT? No Time? Revision? SUROS?? Even legendary pulses and scouts?
I don’t think it should be better than all of them but it can’t even put up a fight in this meta, one shot and you’re flinched to the sky and even if I land shots it feels like everything else has a better TTk, and it is an exotic designed for PvP!
Show the the outliers some love and stop focusing on massively OP new stuff, there’s so many exotics that are just irrelevant because everything that’s new becomes the meta and using off meta = punishment.
I wanna play with weird stuff and use different guns for each map but a) it takes so long to change builds. b) certain weapons don’t work on some maps. c) there’s no incentive to play in other styles, the best and fastest way to win is use OHK methods and abilities.
TLDR - make the PvP scout viable in PvP
Which is possible, a certain unnamed exotic scout has been very viable recently 👀

Still works for me, but despite that, I think it needs a buff of some kind. Or a change in its properties. Nothing major by any means.

The most it deserves is Amor Piercing Rounds replacing Hi Caliber Rounds, as well as Adaptive Munitions for all the PvE players that want a reason to use it in any activity.

Took a look, it's still there. It's fine.

2 RepliesOn top of it, the precision kills have to be in Crucible for the catalyst. If you are more of a casual or lower skilled PvP, it will likely take you a while to complete. At least in my experience.

5 RepliesIt gets out gunned because all those guns you named have more inherent flinch with the exception of possibly the Suros, even though Mida has HCR. That’s mostly because HCR got nerfed towards the end of year 1 and has been a useless perk ever since. Saying that though it’s not far off being good so it doesn’t need much. What I’d do is 2 things: Firstly I’d change its catalyst from no distraction to a healthy stability buff like the Jade Rabbit. This is because while no distractions pairs well with the Mida Radar it pigeon holes the gun into a lane holding hardscoper and this doesn’t work well with the natural run and gun play style of a lightweight weapon. A stability buff would work similar to no distractions but also help with quickscopes letting the gun live up to its name, Multi Tool. Secondly I’d change the HCR perk to Explosive Payload. Mostly because this would help it in PVE more but also I think it would make it a solid pick in PVP even though it’s got a TTK of 0.9 which isn’t that good.

I agree 100% with what you said. I am a MIDA fan myself, but right now you get murdered using it. The TTK is just lower than everything you mentioned. Just needs to be competitive is all.

2 RepliesI kinda wish the mida mini tool smg did something unique with the midi multi tool. The smg only gives the exotic an extra boost in movement speed. Perhaps kills with both weapons should boost the damage of each other and refill the magazines.

This is fine by me. Buff it some. Not a lot, just a bit.
-
Need to make it a high impact or a rapid fire.
-
It's hard to believe this game started out with that gun being the weapon of choice.

1 ReplyGive it the ability to stun all champions, fitting with its name

2 RepliesEdited by ket: 2/4/2023 11:20:53 PMit's a legendary 200 rpm scout with a yellow background, you're better off expecting it to work like a legendary than an exotic
