This is the reason Crucible isn't enjoyable enmass any longer. Connections aside, the real fun comes from the absolute lack of balance amongst ALL the weapons. For starters, the entire game needs to either be 100% crated weapons or the entire opposite. It can't be both. If Bungie wants to force a meta, then just go back to forcing curated loadouts for each week. They could ban all exotics and crafted weapons from Competitive game modes.
More importantly, is TTK. No weapon in the game besides the obvious sniper, rocket, linear, grenade launcher, & sword, should have a faster TTK than the the slowest charge time of any weapon, especially so for Primary weapons like sidearms, hand cannons and SMGs.
Also, HC, SMG and Sidearms all need their range and or impacts nerfed into the ground, in PvP. There is not enough of a selection of maps to make rifle range meta over any of them, and even in maps like Altar of Flame, my Messanger Adept is being outranged by a Crafted Austringer. That's just utter nonsense, and all it is, is pandering to Candy House in the Rain Won't Fall rationalists/participation trophy/pat on the back/rod stroking bs.
Bungie, take a lesson from your base, and get Good. Maybe we need to inject opposing Ideology into the company to, Make Bungie Great Again.

2 Replieshc are totally fine, if you lose to an hc with messanger is 100% skill issue, not only messanger have a better ttk with better easy of use messenger have more range and a better fall off dmg ,so if you are losing to an hc with pulse is called HUGE SKILL ISSUE , for smg and sidearms i get the point they need to get the BM/AA nerfed especially on controller (pc only)
