Does anyone actually like the PvP meta this season?
I sure don't. They buffed DMT making camping/ratting easier, and now everyone is just playing so cowardly. People only come out of their hiding spots to use special weapons. Like last season's meta wasn't perfect, but I'd take it any day over the disaster we have now. Honestly the meta was almost perfect during season of the Risen, but Bungie decided not to think about what they were doing as usual, and they ruined it. Not to mention the fact that SBMM doesn't even work, and mostly just makes matchmaking take longer and games to be laggier.

4 RepliesTo be fair though there will always a meta, even if pvp became balanced we’ll just be looking for weapons with the right perk combinations to make it the new meta.

I think it’s good they buffed pulses but bad they they paired it with all long range maps. That just pushed it too far. This meta wouldn’t be so dominant it we had more maps that aren’t long range

7 RepliesThe DMT is a PC only issue it seems. Everyone I've seen trying it on console gets utterly destroyed. It's that extra 20% autoaim/stability/and recoil control that PC has. DMT is garboni without that crutch.

Meta is boring and stale. Nobody moves with roots up their bums in the back of the map with a pulse rifle. Engagements are rare and usually a teamshotters dream like back in vanilla d2

The subpar players are enjoying it, yes. Anyone who actually plays crucible consistently and is half decent hates what PvP has become.

They're the unavoidable hazard of programming PvP games, but also Bungie doesn't need to be leaning into them, that seems like it only exacerbates the issue, then cascades over everything else because its more work to fix, then they mess it up and create more issues.

Abilities have probably never been more prevalent, and the weapons revolve around those that have range and are essentially considered “cheesy.” I definitely am not a fan of this meta. In my opinion it’s in the category of worst metas alongside the post stasis era.

1 ReplyNo, this is the season of no thumbs. Sidearms, smgs, and dmt spam has made what's left of the crucible even worse than it was. All the cheesy spam bs needs to go asap.

Meh it’s a free fall all ! Everything is on the table . Nice not to have hand cannons running rampant . I’m enjoying this season …well most of the time 😂
