Bungie my friends and clan have done day one raids for a while now. And we've got thousands of raid clears between us. But my concern for day 1 raids is that the 20 power handicap creates a problem. A long term one.
You make the raid doable for the best of the best, which isn't so bad. But the handicap allowing for a 20 under power completion means that the basic raid is going to be a joke to finish. This happens everytime, where we bust our butts against excruciatingly painful encounters, getting 2 shot by axion darts and 1 punched by knights. And then suddenly day 1 ends and we can slap enemies around like they're bugs to be squashed.
I feel that this trend only hurts the raiding experience, and I'd personally love to see the base raid brought to a slightly harder level, and then day ones with a 10 handicap. This essentially creates a very similar day 1 experience but also keeps the base raid as a challenge. They're all so easy to do.
In addition I think ALL raids should always be put at the current seasonal power cap, allowing g only pinnacle cap levels to push above it. This would in itself help create value to pinnacle grinding outside of gm or trials. I miss the function of d1 raids. It was so much better and exciting. Just a thought bungie.

4 RepliesI just don’t want to spend 12 hours on totems. That’s it.

14 RepliesI understand what your saying which would be great for people like you who do raids normally but people like me then struggle to do raids. Currently I can hold my own in a raid. I think a simpler solution would to simply add a harder difficulty mode with the chance not for more loot, but better rolls for weapons and better stats for amor.
nibbles crayon
