The final story mission was very anticlimactic.
There was so much build up and lead up to a mission that was instantly like "oh yeah, Calus is gone now and with the wittness, so he's no longer our problem now".
It was super anticlimactic. Very short.

2 RepliesAnticlimactic is an understatement. I was stoked to see the throne room from the Leviathan raid boss fight, and thought "Let's do this! Lemme bust out Whisper for old time feels!" Then the elevator started. Bummer. Run by all the automatons, thinking, hells yes I want to fight some of those.... Nah bro, fight some weak nightmares instead that takes 30 seconds. Utterly disappointed in the end.

Very short.[/quote] The entire storyline was about other people's emotional struggles while our characters - "Guardian" - merely played a supporting role as nothing more than a hired gun. A prop. No matter how it ended the fact is it has nothing to do with OUR story, so why would we be invested? We aren't. I'm just glad it was over honestly. I was glad it was so short.

4 RepliesAt the end of the mission, Eris says, blah, blah, blah, i'll be on the moon. So I thought surely that wasn't it, i'll head to the moon to see what Eris is up to next. As i got there and realized she had nothing for me, i turned around and looked and there was about 10 other Guardians standing there with the same confused looks on there faces.

And much like my date with the porcelain throne earlier today it was over hyped and messy.

I didn't feel involved in the story at all. It was just a series of "Here, care about this" moments that felt forced and never really had any emotional impact for me. Once again we are just watching the story as our Guardian instead of being part of it.

This entire season has been a dud. Legit ONE activity to do over and over leading to the same mission with minor changes per week. Happy to say I've finally gotten to the point where after the content included with WQ deluxe edition, I'm through spending money on this game. The toxic, hateful replies to anyone pointing out issues, aka... the BungLe community, just further cements that.

3 RepliesI heard from a source that this season wasn't supposed to debut until fall. How it's structured is that there are 3 teams that work on the seasons (1 for each). Teams 1 and 3 are the more experienced developers who work on the stories. Team 2 are the new hires who make the middle season (the current season now). So, what happened with team 2? I heard from someone who's friend works at the big B that team 2 didn't get their season finished in time, so team 3 had to release their season early (or half-baked). Really, this season was supposed to drop in the fall (hence, the spooky skeletons and haunted aesthetics). This is just what I heard, so it's merely speculation at this point. If a dev or mod could confirm or deny this, that would be great.

My opinion is that the mission had a lot of potential that ultimately got wasted. The area we went to in the pyramid was super cool and i thought the calus head in the sky was neat too, even if it was a reused asset. We could have even fought calus robots to go along with the theme. But no, instead we just fight wet-kleenex versions of previous sever bosses. If theres anything to look up to, its that there is an epilogue towards the end of the season which i saw on the roadmap, so technically the season isnt over yet.

3 RepliesSomething I noticed was even after dealing with all the Nightmare bosses that would spawn, there would still be about an eighth or so of health left on Calus and then out of nowhere it would hit 0 and that small cutscene would start. Now, I don’t if maybe it was just another one of Destiny’s latency issues and the game was just having a hard time keeping up, but if not the case then that would mean that whoever designed this encounter either ran out of time or got lazy and skipped what could have been the equivalent of a last stand or enraged phase and just gave us the win. All in all, this season was shallow and is pretty close to being on the bottom of quality, right next to Almighty.

Looks like I didn't miss much then. I had enough of this season after a week or two. Hope next season will be better because this one is a complete joke.
