So what is the trick to getting point blank rapidly defeated kills in gambit?

Equip Falling Guillotine (or any Vortex frame tbh) and Passive Guard, then start swinging. Lament is a viable substitute due to the health on kills.

smg with surrounded is how I did it but a shotgun is also good option. Some enemies are easier than others thrall are your best bet with cabal the worst IMO. Basically you're looking to get up close & personal with a lot of low level enemies then lay into them with whatever you're using.
