make mida catalyst more accessible

Sorry for bumping but holy crap i finally got it. Was having a ROUGH time in comp on christmas. True sweatlords. But after about 3 hours it dropped! Im at 103 headshots currently to finish it.

are you talking about obtaining the catalyst, or completing it to masterwork? If obtaining it is the issue, it's pretty much the same for all exotics prior to Shadowkeep. If you mean for completing it, I can see the difficulty since it's locked behind PvP, but it wasn't too bad. Actually helps make you a better shot, and more comfortable with scouts in general

So, catalysts aren’t that required. Catalysts make their guns better, and in some cases make them worth using. MIDA is not a case where you need the catalyst, it feels like one of the “need it for my completionist heart” things. Catalysts that break their gun should be more accessible to the average player to even the playing field. Catalysts like MIDA (and most PvP catalysts) are very Grindy and hard to get (trust me I’ve done ‘em all as an average PvP player). But none of them make their gun either usable (if it was bad before) nor OP. These don’t need to be super accessible as they don’t change much. If you really want it because it’s your favorite gun/you’re a dumb completionist (like me) you’ll grind for it even if it takes a year

2 RepliesI have the catalyst complete and it is NOT tied to 5500 in comp because I have never gotten to that point as a matter of fact I am sure I got it from just winning a few games here and there in comp. It like a lot of things in this sometimes annoying asf game is completely rng. Just keep grinding it'll drop for you.

Think it's in a good spot where it's at, gives you a reason to play comp. I got mine on my second win after reaching fable(2100), my buddy got his on his win that turned him over to fable(2100). This is destiny though so we might just have got lucky, good luck though guardian.

10 RepliesAgreed! comp isn’t even relevant anymore. I mostly played right before shadowkeep and got my redrix but that was it. Also mida is a y1 exotic, and yet it’s catalyst is still locked behind comp? Bungie is giving us whisper and outbreak catalyst in playlist activities next year, so why can’t the same be done for mida?

I mean the whole Playlist Is useless now that pinnacles and ritual weapons are gone No exclusive armor or weapons and all u get is a sub tier catalyst for a gun I personally haven't touched in years

Although agree it’s been locked behind PvP for too long. Also if you haven’t got telsto catalyst yet, you can obtain this through Legendary or Master Lost Sectors. Happy Holidays to you all.
