I cant stand this community
Ok before you start harassing or bullying me get this through your heads...I dont care.
Now lets get to the point...I am sick of people treating me like crap, kicking me from fireteams, calling me useless and being toxic to me. Im just trying to enjoy the game. But it seems no one really cares.
Im someone who suffers from autism and thats what is my greatest downfall because even in a fight im a pathetic excuse of a Destiny player. I cant stand people doing this to me.
Also for almost the past week I have been put in a depressive state to where I feel worthless to this community and the toxicity Ive recieved does not help my condition. This community needs to care for one another...especially with those suffering with depression. Now if you all are going to laugh at me you are so heartless and cruel to not care about others.
Please dont hurt me more than I already have been

Look, stop it with all of the whining. Some people will always be -blam!-, it's just the way the world works. Now, you can victimize yourself and whine like a little baby, or you can suck it up and get over it. Just ignore them, or be as weird and stupid as possible (It'll make them feel uncomfortable, believe me that's what I do. I mean, I'm an alien that came to earth 4563 to study you Humans... so?), or be mean to them. But always keep in mind that some people will always have it worse than you, so it's not a big deal.

Your best bet is to find a clan that’s friendly, I think there is a section of the app where you can look for clans that would suit your taste

Look for the posts that say….”new clan looking for members, everyone welcome and must be willing to help one another”. That’s just an example. Also when joining LFG, don’t join the ones that say “KWTD, “quick clear “no trash load out. Maybe you know this already but I was just offering advice

What I do is just not care about other people at all, not a single iota really. Sometimes you just need to shut up clock in and load up to get through it. Who knows you just might set yourself free by letting these cares go.

People tend to be toxic in general and the echo chamber here can cause things to seem far worse than they are. And self depreciation is just teaching others how you would accept to be treated.

I'm sorry you got treated that way and got driven to depression. I actually play to distract myself from the 'pression. In regards to this "community," I have to remind myself that if I trip and fall in public while wearing my Destiny shirt, chances are is no one's going to come help me stand up just because they have on a Bungie shirt. The internet is the same. It's random people just going on with their day to day. I'm literally on the toilet right now and there is no toilet paper. Is anyone in this community going to bring me some? Nope. We've got to learn how to sort our own sh...poop out by ourselves. Peace and good luck.

If people is mean without reason, then there’s no solution to this; but instead if you are refusing to help yourself to be better, getting some exotics, watching guides, builds for DPS, etc; with that kind of stuff is where you could see a more emphatic community, if not just make your own LFG post describing your situation.

Here’s a solution. People think youre useless and bad at the game, prove them wrong. Look up guides and practice. That way nobody thinks your useless and you came feel better about yourself. Everybody wins!

No offence, but ALOT of people suffer with depression and it's not my job to make you feel emotionally secure online, it's yours. My son has autism, he plays, he gets his fair share of trash talking and you know what he does after? Moves the F on, because at the end of the day it's just some random jerk on the internet, who cares what someone you don't know and who doesn't know you insults you with online, they are nothing to you! If you cannot handle the internet then perhaps it's not for you, you can't expect the world to change to suit you.

The thing is, when you're online you can't expect everyone to walk on eggshells around you. They don't know you, they don't know what you're going through and vice versa. It's not a place to be if you need support and you really can't let it get to you as much as it appears that it is. That jerk that kicked you out fireteam last time? Maybe he's got all kinds of issues himself and has no patience. Maybe he's literally just a jerk. You being upset by thier actions doesn't change anything except how you feel. My advice to you would be to join a gaming community so you can play with people that you can get to know and that understand what you as a person are like and that can offer you a supportive place to play. Also, you really do need to work on not letting others get you down - you will encounter it to varying degrees everywhere and the sooner you learn to not let it bother you, the better off you will be.

8 RepliesGaming is in decline. Communities all over have gone to hell from the trends and changes going on in the video game world. People won’t be afraid to strike someone else down in grief. All communities are becoming this. There is no fair play. No honor. No kindness. People just don’t care. I’ll just say it. We’re in the dark age of the gaming industry, and unfortunately, we’re not even CLOSE to where it reaches its lowest point. Bad things are going to happen soon. I can gurentee it. People are going to become FAR WORSE as a result. Welcome to the year of 2021. Honer and happiness was killed and sent upriver. I hate it too, but it is what it is.

1 ReplyI honestly feel the same im a kid 11 in a few weeks and everybody thinks since i have a high pitch voice i dont know how to do something and sometimes i can see why i get kicked for example if they talk about inappropriate stuff but ive heard it all but sometimes i get kicked just for being a kid and im not one of those annoying kids who just like to yell and shout random stuff i actually am really quite. I hate lfg its just that i have no friends that play destiny 2 . I joined my brothers clan which has most of his friends but i dont know any of his friends so i just use lfg and not just that im insecure....

Try to find people you like to play with. I know that’s easier said than done but it helps a lot. Maybe try out a clan…at least the core players inside usually like to play with each other. See if you fit in and if you don’t, get out and try again. Sadly most people won’t reach out to you…so you‘ll have to make the first step.

You either should find a way to deal with negativity yo u encounter playing destiny or avoid it. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you this but the people you encountered are -blam!- and there are plenty of helpful people on here that will be understanding and play with you. Also the title is likely to provoke poor feedback, as there are excellent people on the community, it’s not fair to label all by the actions of few.
