Facts!

4 RepliesYea it is. I feel like the solution is simple but they are making it complicated. Why hasnt they tried making stacked teams face each other? Why is the setup for teams not equally assigned? Why arent the averages of stats used to generate an equal matching of teams?

1 ReplyEdited by AbsolutZeroGI: 10/1/2021 7:08:10 AMThey'll never do this. As soon as the sweats start playing other sweats and streamers don't have 0.2KD new lights to farm for YouTube clip videos, they will revolt and Bungo will listen. The intensely small number of people at the top simply matter more than the rest of us to Bungo. Unfortunately, nobody likes playing with this game's sweats, even the sweats themselves. So we all take turns being sacrificed to them for the sake of their brittle and fragile self esteem. Sucks, but welcome to D2 PvP.

1 ReplyYeah they really need to balance teams based on KD. This whole balancing they have now is broken. Crucible is unplayable with this unbalanced mess of a system. It’s the worst I have ever seen in a game.
-
7 RepliesMatchmaking is not broken. I am consistently top 3 and in some game I avg 40+ defeats and I still lose because the bottom 3 could not pull weight whatsoever. You ever consider that you are the problem with your 1.0 kd?
-
48 RepliesPvp will remain broken until bungee decides to make pvp better Reminder, 75% of destiny community hates pvp. 99.7% of the gaming community will make fun of you if you say you play destiny pvp. You’ll be bullied. Destiny pvp is hated and mocked, destiny 2 is beyond dead in the eyes of the gaming community. Bungie is here to collect their checks. That’s it

6 RepliesEdited by Erk Grr: 9/30/2021 12:49:44 AMThere will always be “mismatches” because of the drastic skill gaps between the average and the good and the average and the bad
-
There's no SBMM and there is no magic formula that can ever balance a random selection.
-
What matchmaking? It just pulls from the pool randomly.
-
I'm pretty bad at PvP but sometimes I wish teammates would quit trying to lone wolf every engagement. It feeds the other team free points. If someone knows they are terrible, at the very least, attempt to die less. Get with team members instead of making yourself a target dead center of an open field.

I think it’s more lobby balancing. I’ve noticed my recent games, we had a variety of different skills, but there were too many of the high skill players on one team. Had the players been distributed in a different manner, the matches would’ve been a lot closer. This is in Freelance IB as well.
-
1 ReplyDude iron banner is endgame control have you played quick play recently it’s a sweat fest I don’t expect ib to be any different

Edited by 2 Sentimental: 9/30/2021 8:21:02 PMThe system isn't perfect, as one member mentioned there will be games where the balance seems a bit off. I've been on both sides and even in the middle. This is totally normal for I.B., this is how it's always been, it's the nature of the beast. I'd recommend taking full advantage of these situations by practicing on your loadouts, and different skill trees. At the worst you can do that and assure that you have a decent KD. That's normally my approach; just understand that it's inevitable that you will have some crappy games because the other team kicks your butt. Learn from this, and just do your best.

Its broken because everyone is leaving matches. Every single game of IB I played, half the entire lobby if not more rotated out and a good half of my matches were games in progress. It broken because people are making it broken this week.

Edited by Ingwe-Queen: 9/30/2021 3:15:23 PMI have been in solo on and off most of the day and the matchmaking has been fine and that was in the main one, not freelance. No stack in fact it was very enjoyable for me. If you keep leaving you mess up the matchmaking you need to stay in.

2 RepliesI don't agree! I mostly lose when I'm in a team with a 4+ k/d player and a 2+ k/d player. (solo) But when I'm the highest kd/a (1.8), we mostly win. (solo) PLUS the most important: When I play solo, my average k/d is around 1.2 (freelance is even worse then normal IB) When I play in a fireteam of 2+ players, my k/d is easily 2+. Yesterday my k/d was 4.33 (kd/a 5+) and I played in a fireteam of 2 or 3 the whole day. It has totally nothing to do with team shooting or something like that. The fact is that the enemy is much easier to kill and I see the enemy on time on my screen. So it's only peer-to-peer, who gets the host;) So my advice to you is: play at least with one friend.
