Bring D1 to PC
That or add mouse & keyboard support to console.
It's ridiculous that Xbox One supports M&K, but not D1 just because it was originally on 360. What's the point of not adding that support after all these years? Or hell, porting it to PC. I would buy it all, just to play the multiplayer PVE aspects. I know high end PVP is not existent. Who cares, play D2. Let people play it for the content and story.
How can you expect people to understand D2 without having a chance to play D1. It's not worth buying a console just to experience the first game if it could just be brought forward to PC players.
I'm literally right now trying to figure out how to run M&K on D1, and nothing is helpful in my endeavor. My partner literally says, the only reason it doesn't support it is because of it originally being on 360. I believe if you're gonna pull a game forward to a console that supports M&K and not allow it to have that capability, then what's the point. Like yeah controller users can still play it, but let people experience the first game on PC. It should not be this difficult to experience the game. Play controller sucks ass and hurts my hands from trying to aim and shit.

Let people transfer their stuff from console to PC. "ooOO, but tHaT wiLL giVe ThEM a UNfaiR adVanTage" that's literally the same shit you say about M&K, all of the high end PVP shit isn't even in the game anymore
Let. People. Play. The. Game.
Make a dedicated team to port it and then once they're done, just bring them on the D2 game and have more workers on that then.

D2 is a BIG mess. If I was in charge I would of brought D1 to PC, and then start from there, It looks like we are facing light vs dark war, "any war" at this point, front line always change, base on that, we would loose some ground and at the same time we could gain a ground elsewhere, here is your "sunset" would have been justified and made sense. In D1 I like how you start on one planet and then move on to a different planets as you grow your character. I would remove level restrictions for weapons and armor, instead: I would heave a different level-up system. For example: at level one you can gain XP from level one NPC 1:1 at player level 5 you would stop gaining XP from level one NPC. Weapons and armor could never have to be sunset, this is a futuristic space game, you could have all kind of different types of weapons armor, and meta will shift on it's own respectively, you should of learned by now what players are looking for when they're building a new meta.

Bungie are trying to make D2 a platform for the franchise going forward, which also means they're basically just going to be bringing D1 content into D2. Not the same, but best we're gonna get

yes i know they stopped support in 2017, yes i know a different company did the port for D2, but get with either a different company who could port it or make a dedicated team to do it then bring them on to D2 later.
