ItS a pVe GaMe / JuST AdApT May 27 population stats Overall 1.2m • Pve 1.15m • Pvp 454.05k • Gambit 261.7k • Raid 293.18k There is zero events/etc in pvp rn and Pvp is still the 2nd most played playlist according to Charlemagne 454.05k / 1.2m = 37.83% of the population played pvp yesterday (1 out of every 3 people) -thats rounding down btw as 1/3 is actually 33.33% btw -Almost 40% (which would be 2 out of every 5 people)

    • Yes but how many are playing pvp because they want to not cause they have to for bounty, challenge, or quest. You can't use numbers without factoring in all the variables.

        • I genuinely dont care, this game would be way better off with no form of PvP whatsoever. Its an unbalanced mess that a majority of the community has to have their arm twisted into playing. -blam!- it.

            Lol, and 60% are only in pvp because mayham is a thing/doing bounties and pinnacles. Majority of players I know don't pvp on their free time. They farm rolls or raid. The collective response is pvp is garbage in destiny now, and it has nothing to do with stasis.

            • No No... The real question is how many of those are doing it for powerful gear and or for the seasonal challenges? I know more people who only play it because it rewards powerful gear and or for quests where they gotta play it. Without that they would never touch the PVP in this game

              • Remove pinnacle and powerful gear from activities, catalysts requirements in crucible (there no catalyst that requires compete in gambit or strikes) then we see a clear picture. Even if they just remove bright dust from it many players will abandone crucible, game mode not enjoyable over a year.

                  Ummmm.... I hate to be that guy who takes a leak in the punch bowl.... But, historically speaking, that pvp number is [b]bad.[/b] When pve engagement is at 1.2 million (typical early in a new season), pvp engagement (when SBMM was still in the game) would usually be around 650k per day. Since CBMM was forced on the game, pvp struggles to ever stay much above 450k, and occasionally drops below 300k (and in the Gambit range.) Those numbers are why (IMO) Bungie accelerated their plans to nerf stasis in pvp by almost an entire season and implying that they are also accelerating their plans to buff Light subclasses. Dont be surprised to see SBMM come back once crossplay drops. Crucible is slowly withering away and Bungie is trying to pull it back from the brink. But I feel they are delaying the inevitable unless they commit to seperate sandboxes.

                    Lol at any given time on the Charlamagne bot destiny has an impressive 12% in pvp. Destiny is a pve game. Pvp is a joke. A complete joke. It doesn't need to be in the game. Never did I'd gladly lose all those players just to get more pve content I'd spend money on silver to ban the pvp chest squad out there.

                      • There are too many nuances to these numbers for them to be of any real use. Those nuances include - seasonal challenges, weekly pinnacle rewards, bounties, quests, etc. There is no way to determine at this level of analysis how many unique players are playing any specific format because they really enjoy that format. My “guess” is that all of those numbers ( for pvp, gambit, raids) would be lower if you could remove those players that are just there to complete something. Also, just as a side note, there will “always” be a format that is in second place when there are two or more competing formats.

                            I get reigning in Stasis, dont understand why it needs to affect PVE side. That said, my concern is it seems their goal is to go back to D2 launch pvp where ability regen is significantly lower for gunplay. I get it, I don't like getting spammed either. But i came to this game for space magic gun pvp. If i wanted to focus on just gunplay i would stick to games that are more in line with COD. Oh well, that's just me. Depending on how far they swing with these changes, may be the final nail in the coffin for PvP for me.

                              • Honestly, I don’t think stasis is the problem. If the other supers/abilities would be give the same treatment and were counters to stasis, that would be so much better. But that D2 is not Bungie’s focus at all.

                                  • No. Amazing would have been testing your own shit before release. Or not doing this. Testing it, making sure it’s broken. Then release it to force people into buying NL to be competitive. Love the game but hate the company. Sooooo dirty. Constantly screw crap up on purpose. Then fit. And watch all the idiots praise them for it. Don’t get me wrong, love that stasis is getting a real nerf this time. But not going to give Bungie any thanks.

                                        • By the numbers you posted it’s 53% PVE 21% PVP 12% Gambit 14% Raid If you figure up what the population played based on how you came up with the pvp % then it would be 96% played pve.
