People will use whatever they can if it gets them out of needing to have a good primary shot; bow+hand cannon, fusions, GLs, dead mans tale literally rewarding you for purposefully not aiming, it's crazy to me. Obviously you can kind of crutch a shotgun or a sniper but the thing is they are only effective in very specific scenarios. To snipe you need to hit a headshot despite the amount of flinch and fast movement in this game, so while you can primary a sniper it takes some mechanical skill. To use a shotgun you have to get within 9m of someone in a game with an extremely generous and very easy to manipulate radar so while it can be seen as kind of braindead it is not easy against people with good awareness. The stuff I mentioned above is just annoying because it voids any and all need to use a primary weapon normally. With a bow you can peek shoot for 160 and quick swap to a hand cannon, faster time to kill than any primary = not possible to outgun in a straight up one on one. With a gl you can chip damage someone around a corner or over a wall for half of their health and then peek with a primary and kill with one or two shots. With a dead mans you have the fastest time to kill in the game at unlimited range without having to aim. I know this game doesnt have a skillgap but stuff like this is just annoying to deal with, and part of me wishes people would try to get better instead of using whatever quirky cheesy borderline uncounterable setup they can cook up that will never be nerfed because it's underused

16 RepliesWell at least they aren’t running felwinter, bows also aren’t the greatest. They are really easy to outplay, just close the gap and they get wrecked. You can also snipe, bows cant compete with snipers. Anything that causes lots of flinch like 120’s or even scouts will make it extremely difficult for bow players to land their shots. Its also just a video game so who cares that he’s bagging? You mad over a silly random person spamming crouch over you?
